Getting Comfortable

"That's so nice to see."

Jennifer Walters smiled nodding agreeing with Pyrrha as she arm wrestled Nora... again. "It really is." They were watching Gwen and Shogo with Neo and Mystique. Mystique probably wasn't getting mother of the year from any of the children she had raised... but apparently was rather good with little children. As for Neo... "Is she normally like that?"

Pyrrha shook her head smiling. "No... I think Neo being here on Prime with Walt may have grown the most of all of us."

Nora grunted straining to try to budge Jen's arm. "She's normally... a pretty ruthless and... unapologetic bad-ass but... look at her."

Jen smiled. Neopolitan had held Shogo like being handed live explosives at first... but that had quickly changed. Maybe it was the fact he was no possible threat? Maybe it was that she looked fun? Maybe it was the fact that both had limited communication skills? Either way it was at least friendship if not love at first sight for both of them. Neo beamed happily smiling and Shogo had hardly stopped laughing in delight. "They look so happy."

"Yeah... urgh," Nora heaved with sll her might but Jennifer's arm barely budged at all. "Hey... are you... taking this seriously?"

Jen "She-Hulk" Walters blinked and looked back at her opponent Nora. "Oh, sorry about that got distracted." She gently forced Nora's arm flat to the table again like she'd done so many of the others by now. "Better?"

Nora blinked then boggled. Even on a second round and using her semblance she was no match. She looked briefly defeated... then cheered. "That's it! You've got to join us for exercising in the mornings! Right, Pyrrha? Team "Thunder Thighs" All the way!"

Jen blinked as her next opponent took their seat across from her taking her hand but was distracted. "Thunder thighs? What the-"

"Don't ask," Pyrrha said. "Ready?"

Ilulu smiled. "Yup. I'm ready!"

Jen nodded her head still thinking about 'thunder thighs' and said, "oh. Uh, sure. Rea-"

*Bang*

"-dy," she finished as she stared at her wrist which had been brought down quickly to the table top by her diminutive opponent. "Huh?"

Nora sighed as Pyrrha nodded. "Winner Ilulu."

Ilulu smiled. "Does that still make me the house champion?"

Pyrrha nodded while Nora shrugged. "Only because Senko and Walt still doesn't seriously compete but yeah," Nora admitted. "You're still the champ."

"Yes!" Sasha said collecting and distrbuting the snacks everyone had wagered and giving Ilulu a couple candys before she started stuffing her own mouth. "Ah bnoo 'ou buld do eet!"

Ilulu giggled and scarfed up a candy while passing one over to Jen. "Thanks Sasha but you shouldn't talk with your mouthful! Here Jen. You should try one of these they're pretty good!"

Jen blinked. She wasn't sure what had happened other than she'd lost... it might even have been a fluke or the fact her strength was still slowly coming back with the gamma treatments or she hadn't been seriously competing... but there had been real power in the dimunitive girl and she hadn't contradicted Sasha's statement that there were others here who were as strong or stronger than her. She almost wanted to demand a rematch... but seeing the tiny, honest open face smiling up at her and sharing her candy it was hard not to just see her for what she wanted to be. Someone who enjoyed playing around. She'd won, was a good sport and a gracious winner, and honestly... that was completely fine.

She picked up the candy smiling. "Thanks, Ilulu," she said unwrapping it and popping it in her mouth. "Mmmhmm that's good!"

Ilulu grinned. "Yay! I'm glad you liked it! Does that mean I can pick the game now? What to pick...hmmmm..." she stroked her chin. "We just played a physical competitive game so it's best to pick something different. I really want to do Truth or Dare but with out Walt it's a little less fun because we can't get really naughty... oh, I know! I'll let you pick Jen! Or maybe Gwen?"

Jen blinked then grinned. She'd learned a couple other things. This curvy little girl was a sweet troublemaker and she was no girl... she acted childish but she was all woman! And she was a goodsport. "Is that ok?"

Ilulu laughed. "Yep! We do that all the time. It's more important to all have fun together then whatever we play!"

Sasha nodded and gave a thumbs-up. "Different people like different games so we try to do lots of different things. Arm wrestling, board games, cards, dice, video games, competive stuff, team and partner stuff, kids games... oh yeah! Wasn't there some game Walt was going to play with Gwen when she got here? Gwen! What's the game you wanted to play with Walt sometime when his wirk wouldn't interfere?"

Gwen smiled looking up from Shogo. "Wait... he was serious about getting a role-playing game going for me and he told all you guys?"

Mystique rolled her eyes and made a dismissive sound but she kept from making any mean commets. Neo smirked at her knowingly... she was trying. Baby steps. She nodded and handed Shogo over to Mystique to hold as a reward before turning to Gwen and nodding pointing at her self then tilting her head and shrugging.

Gwen grinned. "You too but you don't know how to play?" Neo smiled and nodded but pointed at her lips.

Gwen smiled. "It might be difficult to describe your actions but I think you could manage and honestly might be a fun way to play! Would you like to roll up a character and give it a try sometime?" She looked around at several of the others. "I can go get some character sheets and my dice and explain how it works in general?"

Neo nodded and Jen smiled. "Alright... I chose that!"

"Weeee!!!" Ilulu said excitedly. "A new game! Learning new games is almost as fun as playing them!"

Mystique forgot all about their foolish conversation as she held Shogo. *Of course,* she thought. *The X-Brat just had to adopt a non-mutant.* She stared at the slightly pudgy, powerless, defensless and ultimately weak human. Watched him smile at her and touch her blue skin delighted.

Just like that damn fool Penny... or the dog and other creatures. He didn't know enough to hate and despise her yet. But he would someday... unless he grew up to be like Walter who was the biggest fool of all. He knew how dangerous and terrible she was... and had commited the rest of his life to her brcause he pitied her. Would this baby grow up to be like that?

She hears a cough and turns slightly. Her fellow 'villains" are hanging about close by. She smirked they weren't being subtle at all. Since their ill-fated escape attempts they'd generally started drifting apart from one another outside of attending Villain-anon together. But here they all were including Manami... hanging around and not being at all subtle about it. She saw Neo wink at her over her shoulder from where she was talking with Gwen as Shogo saw Demona and laughed making grabbing gestures with his hands.

Mystique smiled and whispered, "Yes... you're already starting out a bit like him aren't you? Do you like "Bad girls"? Careful... that might get you in trouble one day if you don't outgrow it... let's go say "Hi", hmm?" She walked over towards Demona who smiled just a bit before quickly covering it up with a frown and looking away. Mystique softly chuckled. Neither she nor the baby were fooled... nor cared.

"I'll be right back!" Gwen said excitedly. "Let me just run up to... my room..." she glanced upwards but her gaze went towards the master bedrooms direction. She blushed wondering how it was going briefly before noticing most everyone was looking the same direction in general curiosity and interest as well. "*Ahem* and I, uh I'll return with some of my old gaming stuff."

"You sure you want to do this?"

Jubilee blinked and looked up slightly surprised. She stopped fidgeting with her short kimono like robe. "What?"

Penny smiled and turned to look at her. "I just want to be certain that you want this. It is important that you are comfortable and are ready. This is a bit surprisingly quick. So I decided to seek confirmation." She tilted her head thinking. "I am not certain the best way to describe it... 'the easy exit'? Is that the correct phrase?"

Jubilee laughed. "You're giving me an "easy out"?"

Penny nodded. "Yes! That is it! The "Out that is easy" is what friend Starfire explained it to me when I told her our general approach." Penny smiled. "She is good at explaining things. I hope she is enjoying her honeymoon."

Jubilee smiled. "She's one of the friends that recently got married?" She sees Penny nod. "That's nice. I hope they're enjoying themselves as well... it's crazy to think it's been so long for Walter and us since then because of time but for you all it's been what? A week? Less?"

Penny nodded and gently helped Jubilee straighten her robe. "It has been just over half a week... and you did not answer my question. To tell you the truth... I was nervous before."

Jubilee blinked. "You were? About us? But you seemed so sure..."

Penny nodded. "I was fine until earlier... then I realized that you had spent as much if not more time with Walter than I had... and you knew him before?" She sees Jubilee nod and she nodded too. "You know him the longest outside of Friday and his friends. Even longer than Ahnassi, I think. That thought..." she swallowed and then smiled. "It made me nervous... because a new feeling started... I was... jealous or maybe envious, I think." Penny held up her thumb and forefinger almost touching. "Only a bit... but I didn't like that feeling."

Jubilee nodded and smiled. "I... felt the same when I heard about you..." she admitted taking Penny's hands in her own. "I... had a bit of a crush on Walt long ago. It wouldn't have worked then for totally obvious reasons... but he was... he's always been someone I compared all others too, that way." She sighed. "And then there was Gwen who was so obviously falling for him and then I learned about you... and I was jealous too... but I was more experienced now and you were so..." she sighed smiling. "Kind... supportive... encouraging... welcoming... I just knew. It was now or never!" She shook her head. "I never wanted to make you feel even a tiny bit bad. Thank you, Penny! Thank you for everything! I want this! I don't need an "out"!" She hugged her.

Penny hugged her back. "I know that now. It was only for a tiny moment today just before you arrived... and it went completely away as soon as we met! I immediately realized how silly a tiny fear it was when Walt brought you home! I am so thankful to you for teaching me that today! I am so happy you all are here!"

They both laughed. "Kind of a silly but sexy way to officially start our friendship, isn't it?" Jubilee asked.

Penny shook her head and stroked her hair. "Maybe some would think so... but I think it is beautiful like you are!"

Jubilee smiled and did the same. "Agreed... beautiful like you, Penny... my dear friend." She softly kissed her.

Penny kissed her back. "Yes... and now... we will..."

They broke off from kissing, smiling and Jubilee said, "be lovers... together..."

"Yes," Penny said. "The three of us... and more." She turned with Jubilee to look towards the bed. "Please?" They both asked.

Walt swallowed from where he was watching them by the bed. His desire was painfully obvious but that wasn't the way he looked at them. "As you wish... I love you two. I love you so much!"

They both approached him and he met them taking their hands. They embraced and made their way to the bed together as first Walt kissed Jubilee. "Welcome home."

Penny kissed Walt and then Jubilee next. "Welcome home."

Jubilee kissed Penny back and then Walt. "It's good to be home."

Walt kissed Penny. "It is so good to be home!"
