Her foot aching, Eldra manages to hobble a mile or so down the trail. The sun is rising, the shadows moving along the forest floor from the canopy overhead. Pain is her focus, a dull ache that keeps her from making any real progress.

She stops, examining the forest as she finds a babbling stream. She drinks, deeming it safe to do so, and drinks, before continuing on.
