Chapter 11 by Myocastor_Coypus Myocastor_Coypus

Where to, Guv'nor?

Get up there and grab it

"I'm not convinced there's venomous spiders on our world," I said, "Let alone the City." Climbing fully on the chair, I straightened up, raising my weapons of capture. A swift swiping gesture with the vase and the metal spider was trapped. I covered the opening with Gilly's bathroom towel, and all hell broke loose. The creature screamed, a howling wail louder than a fire alarm, so powerful the glass' sympathetic vibration was uncomfortable in my hands. I half stumbled off the chair and went to the ground.

"Close the door!" I yelled to Gillian. She stared at me. "Close it!" I said again. Frowning, she obliged. Her lips moved, and I could barely hear a thing over the spider's screeching. She couldn't hear, I realized. Somehow in every sense was the robot only discernible to me as anything but a large spider.

The door closed, Gilly turned back to me. She spoke to the effect of asking why I was squirming down there on the floor hugging the vase close to my chest. On top of the noise, the spider's agitation was physical, and its mass shaking back and forth made firmly grasping the glass prison into an ordeal of its own.

With the spider wailing to my ears only, yelling would certainly prompt more questions, so I **** myself to lower my voice such that even my words were barely audible. "We need to destroy it," I felt my larynx say, find me something long and hard, quickly !"

Gilly didn't move, her head tilted to one side. An eternity passed that way, the metal creature writhing against me, its awful song blasting my skull, my sister right there naked, a smirk slowly curving her lips even as she frowned. Finally she said "Your dick maybe? That's long and hard..."

"Is that really the first thing that comes to mind?" I asked, "I want to kill the damn thing, not fuck it! Besides, not a moment ago you were worried it might be venomous!"

"Kill it? Why is that your first thought? Even if it was venomous I only imagined we'd, like, take it back where it belongs..."

"Do you think anything like this seriously belongs in our -" I cut myself off "Drokk this, you're useless!" and jumped to my feet. A look around her room was fruitless, I could barely concentrate anymore. My fingers were clammy, however, and there were water droplets on the outside of the jar from when Gilly must have tipped out the contents, that gave me an idea. I rushed to her door and out, down the stairs and toward the bathroom. The door was open, the light was on, my path to the nearest sink and faucet was clear, the creature's fate sealed. Its raucous scream grew to the most deafening yet, just as I placed the jar under the tap, and turned on the water. The towel came off, and soon the glass filled with liquid. Sparks flew, the red light flickered and died, the spider writhed some more still, and then settled, never to move again. With its demise so followed the end of that horrendous whine. And yet...

"Frank!" a shout behind me brought no end to the commotion, "Cut that out! You nearly burned me in here!" I spun round, becoming aware of more water running elsewhere than the sink. Mother was in the shower, holding the curtain partially open to call to me. In spite of the afternoon's events on returning home, I gawked. Mother's naked body looked all the more amazing, framed by steam from the shower, water droplets cascading down her beautifully generous bosoms.

"Come on" she yelled, "Shut off the water, have some consideration for Pete's sake!"

I spun around again and did the same to the knob under the tap. The jar was overflowing by now, the spider motionless at the bottom. Was it truly dead?

Mother spoke, more quietly this time. "Now then, since you so very much enjoyed that view I think it's clear you lied earlier, my Frank. Not that I'm unwilling to look past that. I'm sure you can find a way to make up for it..."

Where to, Guv'nor?
