"First things first. I don't want Ellie to be stupid anymore." Joseph said. Ellie was gazing absentmindedly at the wall, oblivious to his comment. Beth punched her shoulder. "Hey, dummy! He said he doesn't like you being stupid."

Ellie's look of dull comprehension gave way to a startled glance around. "What?" She looked at Joseph, then Beth again. "I- wow. Huh."

"Are you ok again?" Joseph asked. She smiled. "Yeah, thanks. Man, I was really stupid for a minute there. Whatever this thing is, it's pretty powerful."

Beth was grinning. She clearly had another idea. "Hey babe, why don't you try something on me?"

Joseph was apprehensive. "Like what?"

She laughed at his tone. "Don't act so worried! It's not you can't undo any of these changes! Besides, if you like it, then we can stay this way." Ellie smiled and nodded in agreement. "So here's something you might like. What if I had a different personality?"

"A different personality?" Joseph asked. He felt like he'd been a step behind throughout the conversation. "Like somebody else's?"

Ellie answered. "Yeah, I think I see what she's saying. Like she could have your personality, or I could have hers. Or neither of us could have any personality! Wanna try that?"

Joseph shrugged. This was getting complicated. "Sure, I guess."

With that, both women became expressionless. Beth turned to Ellie. "I think it worked." She said flatly. "Do you feel any different?"

Ellie responded in a similar monotone. "Yeah. I feel empty. Blank." She turned to Joseph. "Do you like this?"

Joseph was trying to hide his erection. Something about seeing the two women in this semi-robotic state was turning him on. Beth glanced down and saw his arousal. "He does."
