Chapter 3
by Futanariprince57
Grab Janet? Try the radio? Or get out of there?
Get out of there
You're stood in a dangerous position and you know it. Now you never truly excelled at your training and was always considered average but you did pass the final exam. Now your heroism was being tested and that wasn't you. You always focused on yourself first.
looking over at your slumped co-pilot you try to tell yourself that she may already be dead. She isn't moving and you can't see her face. You're alive and mostly uninjuried.
Turning away you unlock your door to find it won't open. It's jammed. Shit!
Throwing your weight against the door makes it slide open a little but also sends the spaceship rocking hard. Another hard shove and the door swings open.
While the ship is still swinging hard you reach out and grab a green vine while your other hand grips a large brown thick looking branch.
Pulling hard you pull yourself up kicking off against the cockpit glass. You step carefully over to the trunk of the tree and turn around as you hear a scream.
Looking back you see Janet pulling desperately at her seatbelt as the ship swings. Het eyes lock with yours the moment before your spaceship plunges into the rocks below.
Could she still be alive?
The ship explodes into a large fireball that flies up into the sky. No one could survive that. Now you're completely alone.
It takes you ten minutes to make it to the bottom of the tree-like plant. Now, what are your options?
Could the fire attract attention? But it may not be helpful? Search for shelter for the night? Does this planet even have nights? Search for water?
Stay at the crash site? Go looking for shelter? Maybe search for water?
