It is currently 22 BBY, and the clone wars started 3 months ago. You travel to the Jedi council where they don’t know you as your current identity, but some old Jedi have seen you as the emperor of Tattooine. You hide your presence and where a cloak over your face. In Coruscant you present yourself as a an old man and ask around to see what information you can gather. You learn that the Separatist Alliance has been building a massive army, and that the Jedi are struggling to keep up. They have asked the Republic Senate for more funding and resources, but so far, they have been unsuccessful. You also hear whispers of a new droid, the B1 battle droid, which is much more powerful than previous models.
