Chapter 2
by merkros
Do what? (Note that this will determine what type of dragon you are.)
Get a better look(Male, Non-Anthro, Blue Dragon)
You had just gotten settled your new home. It's such a pain that there are already people trying to kill you, but you guess it's not surprising. A flying dragon is pretty easy to spot and you don't doubt that someone had seen you.
The Ruins of Castle Malachite was where you decided to make your home. It was a quaint castle by the coast. Your father, a massive blue dragon left this castle a ruin two hundred years ago...at least, that's what his stories said. He was known as quite the exaggerator. You are not nearly as big, but even being just a little bit larger than the average human; you are powerful in yourself. One Knight should be easily handled.
Crawling out of the ruined tower, you quickly make your way down the stairs and slip out a hole in the back wall. From there, you dive into the moat below. Blue Dragons are just as comfortable in the water as you are on land. Their bodies are more smooth to more easily navigate currents and their powerful clawed paws are webbed. On top of other adaptations such as a finned tail and expanded lung capacity, you quickly glide around the moat to the front of the castle and take a quick peek out of the water.
Your eyes come out of the water just in time to see a large man in full plate mail stomping into your front gate. In his hands is a large greatsword that would certainly hurt if it collided with your hide. Blue dragons, while still quite powerful, suffer for their aquatic abilities. They are not as physically bulky or powerful as their more spiky brothers. The Knight is larger than you expected and a confrontation with that sword could spell your end before you really have a chance to turn over a new leaf.
Mulling over your options, they are few. You could leave him search the empty castle and just leave for awhile, but he would have free reign with your horde and could leave you with nothing. You could also attempt to get him into a position where you have the advantage. Such as the water's edge. A direct confrontation would still be foolish and quite probably suicidal, but you do have the advantage of surprise.
How to deal with the intruding Knight...
