Gentle and Glowing

As Lily looks to her mother and sister for comfort a stream of small flashes glow gently in front of Lily's face. As her nose begins to shrink down from its original form to a small button like snout of a darker complexion from her bright porcelain skin. Lily could feel the teeth inside her mouth shift and reshape as she opened her mouth to reveal her two front teeth coming closer together to form a type of fang of sorts. Her normal ears soon shrunk away from the sides of her head only to reform higher up on her head, forming a circular shape, floppy yet delicate in nature. As the changes settled onto her face so too did the lights begin to end their spectacle, leaving Holly and Melody slack jawed at the result of the transformation.

"What...What's everyone looking at?" Lily asked confused at everyone's expression. "I.. uhhh...I'm going to grab a mirror." Melody said as she stormed for the bathroom to grab their hand mirror. "Holly What's happening?" Lily asked with concern as she turned to her. Holly looked down at the instructions and said "Ok don't panic, But apparently this is some magic voodoo board game shit." Lily jumped from her seat "WHAT?" She shouted as Holly tried to continue her explanation. "Yeah According to this 'Magic and rules' Section the pieces glowing is a sign of your soul submitting to the game once they have submitted the mind body and soul in subjugated to any and all transformations, unless the player 'chickens out' I guess to choose to chicken out you tap the card on the space that says chicken out or alternatively tap the card on the continue space to end your turn and continue the game." After her explanation ends Lily begins to freak out " WHAT But I- I didn't- why would the- What does my face look like then?" Lily shouts as she grabs the hand mirror from her mother's hand as she returned from the bathroom. Upon seeing her face in the mirror Lily's Frightened state turned to an almost trance like state as she perused the transformation in the mirror. "And we broke her." Holly said as she stood up and pulled her mother aside. "So we should try and chicken out now." Holly claimed "WHAT but why?" Meldoy said with clear sorrow in her voice. "Mom Lily has a mouse face now, This game is gonna mess with us physically and mentally I know you just want to bond with us some, but we are adults now the time for that is over we need to stop now and try and find a voodoo priest to fix Lilly or something." Holly frustratedly tried to explain to her mother.

As Holly turned back to the game she saw the mirror on the table by the board and Lily's card placed delicately on the continue space. "So uhhh you ok Lily?" Holly asked perplexed by her sister's new mood. "Yeah it doesn't look all that bad." She said. "You do realize you look like a human sized rat right?" Holly said "Yeah now I can Be Jenny's literal lab rat" Lily said as she quickly grabbed her mouth realizing what she said. "Who's Jenny?" Melody asked. "She's Lil's lab partner, they got put together in chemistry class and Melody found out that on top of being a total science nerd Lil found out she's a lesbian." Holly explained. As Melody turned to her mousey daughter Lily explained "Since then she's told me that she finds me cute and has flirted with me since." Lily began to explain as the three of them sat back down. "I kinda like being flirted with by someone who isn't a guy." Lily said as light blush flashed before her new face. "So you want to continue?" Her mother asked. "Yeah and from the looks of the instructions we go in counterclockwise order so it looks like its your turn Holly." Lily said with a new found chime in her voice. Holly sat herself back on the floor feeling a little iffy about continuing their game, but decided maybe the game would go easy on them.
