Gentle Startup

Sam wrestled to get Kyle out of the entanglement he had been pulled into, but the shutdown system had a tight and industrial hold on him.

He was scared to restart the system after what had happened to Kyle earlier, but it didnt look like there was any other way to help his brother.

He went back to his laptop, his fingers trembling as he typed in the command "initialize system", paused a moment, took a deep breath, and then hit ENTER.

Power surged back through the system. from down the hall, he heard a THUD as something, probably Kyle, fell to the ground.

Sam ran to check on his brother. Kyle was still ****, but at least free from the grip of the shutdown system.

"MARCI," Sam ordered, "Can I get a report on Kyle's status?"

There was no response.

Oh right, Sam thought, it probably doesnt recognize the name 'Kyle'

"MARCI," Sam tried again, "can i get a report on KYLIE'S status.

Again there was no response.

"MARCI, could you please return Kylie to her bed?"

Again...nothing.

Sam grunted, summoning his energy. he walked back to Kyle now laying **** on the floor. He picked up his body and carried him to his bed.

"Where the hell is MARCI?" Sam muttered again and again as he carried his brother, "it was a simple shutdown and startup. It should be back online!"

Sam laid Kyle back on his bed.

"I need to investigate the system logs," Sam said, "why isn't it back online?"

He briskly stormed out of Kyle's room to research.

Leaving Kyle still **** on the bed.
