Gen answered first.

“Well, I know that Kaya is very attractive, but it would be strange,” he said.

Kaya grinned, “Really, so if we got tested and found out we weren’t related, you would like to fuck me?”

Gen blushed, “Well, only if you were interested,” he stammered.

Kaya looked to her mother, “Well that is interesting, and you Mum, would you mind?”

Kay turned her head slightly towards her husband, “You know I have never had a problem with your father picking his partners, it just would be very strange.”

Jan quickly appologised, “I’m sorry if I have caused any issues,” she began, but Kaya interrupted her.

“Oh don’t worry Jan, I am sure it is fine, but maybe we should get a test done,” she offered her parents. “I mean, just to know if it is even an option.”

Gen started, “You mean you would be interested?” He asked her.

Kaya shrugged, “It certainly would have made things easier for me when we were in the halfway house coming here, you have no idea how horny I was then, and it would be interesting to know what my girlfriend feels.”

“Well,” Kay began, “I was not expecting this, but it would be interesting, and it would let you dear, or Tar, know if Kaya was a valid partner to pursue. Afterall my daughter has already said she she would be interested in Tar if they weren’t related, and I think, would be interested in you if you weren’t related.”

“So, Tar wouldn’t have sex with Kaya because, at the time you fell pregnant, he was a regular lover of your?” Jan asked.

The three centaurs nodded before Kay said, “That is about it, yes, Gen and Tar were my most frequent partners at that point, so yes, Kaya would not be a valid partner for them on our homeworld.”

“But you had other partners as well?” Jan checked.

“Well, yes, I suppose I would have,” she admitted.

“So it could be the case that neither Gen or Tar is her biological father?”

Kaya laughed, “I think that would be the most preferable outcome from their perspective, wouldn’t it, Dad?” She said, shooting a look towards her father.

Gen cleared his throat, “I don’t think there is much reason to talk about this while we don’t know.” He turned to Jan, “Do you know how we could find out?” He asked her.

Jan thought for a moment, “There are some companies which do genetic testing for a fee, but you could probably go to the university and get it done for free. I am sure that there would be at least one researcher interested in testing the DNA of mythfolk and how they can interbreed. If you all go and talk to someone, they will probably take some blood and let you know.”

Kaya made a noise which Jan took to be akin to a ‘hmm’. “So, would you like to? I’m game,” she said to her parents.

Gen and Kay exchanged another look.
