Gary, a middle aged man

Gary had a good life by any objective measure. At forty-five he still had all his own hair and was in good shape if a little thicker around the middle than he would like. His job was dull but well enough paid and allowed him time to purse his various hobbies. On a more personal level he was happily married to his wife Claire and loved his daughters Lisa and Rebecca even if having a pair of teenagers in the house could be exhausting sometime.

Still he felt unsatisfied, like there was something important missing from his life that he couldn’t quite articulate. He chalked it up to a mid-life crisis and was seriously considering buying an over priced sports car when something happened that change everything…
