Garage Meet Up

Sam and Alex finally got done with their wash up; the red head throwing on a blouse and skirt combo while Alex tossed on looser yoga pants and a shirt. The pair made their way over to the garage of the house, Sam hoping that Clover didn't lose her temper while with Kendra. Clover could get mad, but she wouldn't outright HARM the cartoonist. Maybe.

There wasn't anything to worry about, as the two were off on opposite sides of the room; Clover looking under the hood red one and Kendra sitting in the driver seat of the grey one with the door open. Both looked up when they hear Sam and Alex enter and started to come over. Sam eyed the pair for a moment.

"Clover, did you play nice while we were gone?" Sam asked with a fold of her arms.

"HEY!" Clover came back while she leaned forward, "I was on my best behavior!"

Sam's gaze shifted over to Kendra who just shrugged and explained Clover had just kept silent. The spy had told Kendra to look over her own car while Clover looked at the trio's own. The blonde wasn't a gear head, but knew enough to make sure the vehicles were safe to drive and see if anything was off about them.

"She said that they were rigged up to be spy cars..., nothing fancy like turning into subs or planes or anything like that but they are high performance vehicles made to look like fancy or upper-class cars." Kendra finished with a small smile, "I suppose when you do this kinda thing for a living, you start noticing stuff like that. I always thought you were the techy one Sam."

"Well, you date enough car happy jocks, you pick something up." Sam joked which caused Clover to lightly clench her fists and stick her tongue out, "Honestly; I think Clover and I picked some knowledge when we had to go undercover at the racing event."

"OH god yeah; you were a mechanic and I was one of those pose girls. Had to learn about wheels and engine block to talk with some of the workers though so Sam put me through a crash course." Clover said, lightly tapping her head with a finger at the memory.

"So, wait..." Kendra started, turning to look at the third, "What was Alex then?"

"...Driver. I raced during that mission." Alex explained as she rubbed the back of her neck, "I.... went of bounds..."

Kendra pursed her lips for just a bit before the realization came to her. "Oh my god! What happened?!?" She blurted out, moving closer to Alex with her eyes wide.

"Someone was testing remote controlled AI cars to cheat at drag racing. Something about how 'no one understands what it's like to be a nerd that wants to be speed demon and blah blah blah...," Sam explained while both Alex and Clover moved their hands in a fake talking manner, "Honestly that was one of the pettier reasons and we've seen a LOT of them."

"UGH and where do they learn to monologue. I mean granted it's allowed us to get info or plan an escape but..., like I mean they all hit the same NOTES..." Clover complained as she brought her hands up in a grasping manner, "It's always the SAME, 'Here's my sob story, they all laughed at me, here's my plan, blah blah, and here's how you die, bye now' just... FUCK they have to take better acting lessons!"

"Yeah...., you hear five rants, you hear them all." Alex said with a sigh and her eyes closed before opening them to look at Kendra, "I was fine, I ditched and got a few bruises but the car went into the water." She put her hands on her hips and put out her chest, "I'm actually a VERY good driver."

"She is." Sam pointed out with a finger, "Technically we all are though Clover has the most tickets."

"HEY! Not my problem they keep changing speed signs because other people suck at it." Clover cried with a stomp of her foot.

"Hehe, right so..., back to the agenda. Given how much Clover can spend and pick up, we should probably take two cars. So we’ll ride in pairs."

"Fair enough but who's driving?" Kendra asked, missing the 'no' cross arms of Clover off to the side.

Sam had been thinking about this a bit after getting dressed. Clover would protest riding with Kendra, and Alex riding with her would cause its own issues..., but she might also get pouty about NOT riding with her new girlfriend. Best thing to do was to attempt a randomized pairing. That was the decision she had come up with and is why she took a little stop at the kitchen.

"Let's draw straws for it." Sam said, pulling out a couple from her pocket, "I thought something like this might happen during the day, though I expected it about food or shops. This should work just fine for car partners. Everyone picks one, and the short two ride together." Sam offered to the women.

"You didn't rig this did you?" Clover said as she walked over and brought up a hand to pick one.

"It's this or flip coins." Sam countered as she shook the straws towards Clover.

The blonde sighed and reached up and picked, before letting Alex and Kendra pick their own straws.
