What's next?
Gaius and his wife Tulia
This is a short story that will consist of a couple of chapters and is set during the later stages of pet girl adoption into Roman culture. Keeping your wife as a pet has already become fashionable among the upper crust, the senators and wealthy patricians. But is still rare among the poorer, patrician administrative class.
"Gaius, you can not be serious!", Tulia whispered as she stared at the two items her husband had placed on the low table in front of her. She looked up, her husband Gaius guiltily avoiding her gaze as she did. The young vicarius looked uncomfortable, even as he attempted to present a stoic front.
"It will help my chances with Remus Popeius.", he said in an apologetic voice. "And you won't stand out. Everyone at the event will attend with their own pets."
"You mean their wives.", she retorted with a little heat. "Who have all been trained how to properly behave and act as if they were **** girls!" His expression turned a little sour.
"I am not responsible for the fashions of Rome. The empress herself is collared and regularly paraded in front of the whole senate! What am I supposed to do, if even the Emperor has embraced this... new fad...", his voice raised in volume his anger increased before abruptly fading into frustrated silence.
Tulia looked up, looking her husband in the face. He looked tired. She knew that the powerstruggle in the administration had only increased in recent years. There were too many young patricians like her Gaius that wanted to work their way up in the hierarchy of the empire. The game was one of personal connections, blustering and displays of prestige. Things that their little new family had precious little of.
Gaius was from a fallen patrician family, barely hanging on to their status. Tulia was the third daughter of a slightly better-off family and she had known that things wouldn't be all easy when she had married him two years ago.
Then again, her choice had been to find herself a match she liked or be married off to someone who might have very well turned her into a pet wife.
Now though, it seemed like she would have to accept her fate anyway.
Gaius had stayed silent as he saw his wife thinking it through. He knew it was a lot to ask. He also knew that escaping this strange new practice that had taken Rome by storm in the past decades had been one of the reasons why Tulia, a beauty from a poor but established family, had married him despite his lower status.
The lower ranks of the patricians and the plebians were still resisting the strange new fashion of pet girls. Partially out of an embrace of traditional roman values, partially because they couldn't afford the expenditure necessary to sustain the lifestyle anyway.
He knew that, but he still needed to ask. If he wanted to get into his superiors good graces, he needed to appear as one of them. As someone who belonged into the position he wanted. And to do that he needed his beautiful wife Tulia to undress, get on her knees and accept a collar around her throat.
He was almost surprised when she finally woke from her thoughts and gingerly grabbed the elegant leather collar in front of her. Mustering it with a critical eye, she whistled appreciatively. "This must have cost at least a sesterne!"
The fine brown leather was stitched with beautiful motives in golden thread. The clasp also appeared to be made from a high-quality silver alloy. While it obviously couldn't compare to the solid gold or silver collars that a senator's wife might wear, it was still an ornate piece of art.
Gaius showed a wry smile and scratched his head. "It needed to be good enough to keep up appearances... And I thought it might look good on you."
This prompted a surprised glance from Tulia, who looked at the collar with renewed interest. A tiny smile stole itself through her tense scowl.
"Fine. This once.", she said after short deliberation before standing up and holding out the collar for Gaius to take it. He took it, surprised that she had given in so easily. "Thank you. It means a lot."
Tulia rolled her eyes with a teasing grin and then untied the ribbon around her waist and slipped the sleeves of her tunic over the shoulders. The thin garment gently slid down her body, revealing her naked skin to the air. She could feel her husbands eyes peeled on her as he took the sight of her in. Even after two years, he was still insatiable and always eager for her.
Feeling her confidence rise, she lowered herself onto her knees and looked up at Gaius.
"Well then, Master~", she emulated the way she had heard the pet wives of her father's friends talk. "Let's see if you were right about that collar."
Her husband was too ghoosmacked to answer at first. He had always disdained the men who had their wives kneel and crawl like animals. Treating the mothers of their children, true Romans!, like some **** girl. Now, he felt his lust stirr mightily as he saw Tulia kneeling nude, waiting for him to collar her and make her his.
He felt his cock grow hard as he opened the clasp of the collar and gently manuvered it around Tulias neck. Then he pulled it through the clasp and gently closed it.
Does the collar look good on her?
