Gaby & Sayen

"You have plans?" Sayen asked.

"Nothing in particular," Gaby responded, still hyped up from confronting Makayla.

"Want to come to the lake with me?"

"Sure," Gaby answered, thinking about which bikini she would wear and how she could pick up a guy to fill her need.

"Axe, I get it," Makayla said as she ran around her room, putting clothes away, distracting herself from all the shit she was dealing with. "I believe you... and him... that he didn't cheat... It's just more complicated than that."

Axe understood what she meant, though he wished he didn't. He observed the way she was racing around her room.

"You're a good person Mak," Makayla turned, Maxwell was the only person she had ever tolerated shortening her name, but since everyone called him 'Axe' she figured it only fair. "And Alex is a good person, you two... you are the inspiration that one day I might find that..."

Makayla threw herself against Axe and they hugged tightly. Then Makayla felt it and jumped away. Axe was so embarrassed, again he was trying to comfort a friend and his body had reacted wrongly.

"Damn't Axe, you too?" Makayla screamed as she jumped away, having felt his erection. "Why are all you men such horndogs: Alex, Erik, Pitt... Can none of you just be normal around me?"

Axe felt a flood of embarrassment but then he heard her words... Pitt?

"I'm sorry Axe, not your fault, I'm just so..."

"Confused?" Axe answered finishing her sentence. "I didn't mean..."

"I know Axe. You are being a friend and trying to help. But right now, I need time to myself... to figure things out."

Axe nodded and left the room, feeling like he had let both Alex and Makayla down.

Gaby rejoined Sayen, wearing a green bikini underneath her much too long white t-shirt. Gaby had a pink bikini on, beneath her pink shirt and black shorts, which hid the bikini from view. As they headed to the beach Gaby, noticing Sayen's attitude, spoke up first.

"Why are we going to the beach?" Gaby asked.

Sayen stopped, and faced her newfound friend.

"Erik is after Makayla, and I want to stop it... for Alex," she said, it was mostly the truth, but she also wanted to stop him because he had insulted her.

Gaby's face turned harsh.

"Why should I care what that bitch does? If she fucks him, she fucks him. It's all better for me in the end."

"But what about Alex?" Sayen asked, "It will destroy him."

Gaby looked at her very seriously and thinking for a moment.

"Maybe it's better he rip off the band-aid and hurt like hell, than spend weeks, months thinking there is still a chance."

Gaby finished her statement staring straight at Sayen. Sayen was frozen, taking in what Gaby had just said. Truth was she understood it. It would probably be better for her too if Alex moved on quickly. But, she couldn't help but want to make things right for him. They quietly made their way, side by side, down to the lake.
