Gabi’s story

“So, I told you before if you remember but I wouldn’t be surprised if you forgot. I came in two years ago and had like a full year to myself. It wasn’t a year I was proud of. See my mom sent me here cuz I wasn’t get along well in my other school. I was having a hard time with the girls, and some of the boys has their eyes on me. I guess some people weren’t a fan of me speaking up, I didn’t give a fuck. When I see bullshit, I call them out on it. Not my fault that they were all hypocrites. It was some stupid guy who started the problem, he was some football player who wanted to ask me out. I was... flattered I guess. Around the time there was some rumor about me being a pussy eater and a cock hater, I can imagine where that shit started.”

“Anyways, he asked me out during lunch. I forget his name but it’s not worth remembering in my opinion. I was an idiot back then, I didn’t know any better and went for it. The guy was alright and we surprisingly had a couple things in common. I didn’t think anyone would ask me out with how much shit I was getting back then, I barely had anyone on my side. The teachers would care less, they...I’m getting off topic. Anyways, we go a few weeks working things out and the dudes trying to seal the deal, you know he’s complimenting me, taking me out, going on dates and all that. I actually remember having a good time with him, that’s funny. Cuz later on I come to hear from some of the cheerleader sluts that the dude was fucking around behind my back. I couldn’t tell now if he was busy with work, sports, or busy with other tramps and whores.”

“So of course I go and confront him, I make a big deal in the breezeway where everyone is walking around and everyone sees me call him out and dump his ass. Then suddenly rumor goes out that he fucked me on the first date, that I was some whore, that I’m an easy catch and a good lay and all that! And wouldn’t you know, the same band of girls who would give me shit helped spread that rumor around like the plague.”

“So now everyone recognizes me as the school slut, everyone calls me names and pushes me. I start getting into fights when they push too hard. See this?” She raised her hair and revealed her forehead with a thin scar across her temple* “Taught one of those cheerleaders how to take a hit. Totally worth it haha. But get this, soon as I’m not having it and suddenly I’m the one in trouble and not them! And my mom doesn’t know what to do, she was never aware of it. I couldn’t tell her, she would stress out everyday running two jobs and sleeping like four hours a day. Now the school calls her in during her shift and she finds everything out, and I just didn’t want that. I didn’t want to go to that school anymore, I didn’t want to be that girl and I didn’t want my mom to be upset with me. So, I asked my aunt for some help and she found this place for me. Ended up having a long conversation with Mom but... here I am.”

I nodded as she sighed and leaned back. That was her story of how she was before, I could kind of relate to a bit but damn. I didn’t quite know what to say really, I was in a bit of an awkward spot really. “Wow.” That was all I could say for a moment there, I felt awful not having better words. “Well, that’s a lot to take in.” “It is haha, as for how Ivan and I came together well... it’s also another mouthful.” “I have time, if you don’t mind I mean.” She smiled softly. “It’s fine, I only told you half the story. Time for the other half.”
