GO!

"I will come with you!"

Julie surprised herself by suddenly jumping out and shouting those words. She didn't really plan to, it was all on impulse. When all of Captain Maynards team was staring at her, she blushed and looked down. "I-I overheard you talking and... I can't stay here. I don't care how dangerous it is, please take me with you!" stammering at first, she gained her resolve near the end, looking at the other women with pleading eyes.

Captain Maynard was shocked, and she turned to fully face Julie. "I'm sorry Julie, but we cannot take you with us, it is too dangerous-" but Julie cut her off, her voice rising "It is just as dangerous here! A Pseudosect could come sniffing around any day and find me! At least if I am with you..." She trailed off and blushed more, then continued. "Plus I know these streets pretty well! I used to live here after all, so I can guide you! And I heard you talking about being short on help, so I can do a little at least... just don't leave me please..."

A tense silence followed as Captain Maynard thought about it. The silence was broken when Rebecca let out a sudden haughty laugh. Alexis turned to her with a scowl, growling out "Rebecca...." as a warning and raising her hand, but Rebecca soon calmed down and held up her hand. With a slightly cruel smile, she spoke to the Captain. "I think we should take her a long Captain, girl has balls and she can at least be used as bug bait or something. Either way it's probably better for her to come."

Julie was surprised at the redhead's statement, but she bristled at the bait comment. She noticed Alexis begrudgingly nodding. "She is probably right captain... We are severely lacking in manpower, and even if she is a civilian she managed to survive here this long alone. I would feel better bringing her with us."

Captain Maynard scratched the back of her head, looking to Olivia, whom smiled and nodded at her. She let out a big sigh, then faced Julie again. "I understand... If you really wish to join us then I suppose you may be of some use, but I need you to understand that I cannot guarantee your safety, and the mission has priority." Julie nodded quickly in understanding, feeling giddy. She wouldn't be alone again! Even if it meant going outside of the safe house she was sure it would work out better than staying alone.

Olivia came over and patted Julie on the head with a smile. "Welcome to the team."
