Futa virus

A young man flipped the radio off as he worked away at his lab station. He look through his microscope and saw several normal human cells. They acted normally, until a white blood cell, infected with the futa virus attacked. The pinkish infected cell lashed out at the uninfected prey, grabbing at it with tendrals of itself. Soon the healthy cell began to tunr a slight pink and began to divide. One remained a normal functioning cell, the original mutated into a factory for the even more infectious form of the virus.

The young scientist stood and took the thin slide out of the microscope and threw it into an incinerator. He let out a sigh as he sat back on his lab stool. "Cure attempt A-44 is a failure. Still no idea what kind of virus this is, and standard treatments continue to prove useless."
