She sighs. "So you really can't send me back." What? Can you not send me back?"

You nod "Opening portals to different dimensions or whatever wasn't really something the tutors taught us."

"What? Next, you're gonna tell me all that divine energy you're emanating is just for show? Count yourself lucky I'm giving you a chance, to tell the truth of your own accord."

"Divine energy?"

She raises an eyebrow staring hard at your perplexed gaze. She sucks her teeth. "It doesn't seem like you're lying. Since I apparently need to explain everything to you, divine energy comes in the form of gifts given to every deity by Chreas. Some can talk to animals, others can invoke rage and passion into troops, other throw lightning bolts from the sky. Me? Whenever a human hear my words they must obey. However, I felt quite a bit of resistance while trying to use it on you."

You rub your chin. "So if Im getting this right, it wasn't completely impossible like trying it on a god..."

"Correct."

"But it wasn't at easy as doing it on a human."

Right."

"So would that make me... a demigod?"

"I dont concern myself with problems that dont concern me." is all she says, shrugging.

You try and think back as to when you could have gotten this so-called energy, you know for a fact that your mother was human unless your dad lied to you which is unlikely because he was never the one to go for the long con. And since you've only interacted with one (two if you count this goddess as one), then there is only one logical explanation. You look straight at the goddess who looks straight back at you. It seems you both have the same idea
