Free membership

The next day at the gym Rachel approached David.

"I have good news!" She said excitedly. "We have a free couples trial at the gym! If one spouse is a member, the other gets three months free!"

"Why are you telling me?" David asked Rachel, a little confused.

"So you're wife can come and join for free!" Rachel explained.

"Oh, I'm not sure she's interested..." David said.

"Tell you what: I'll sweeten the pot." Rachel said. "I'll also throw in a free month of personal training for her!"

"Hmm, that is a good deal." David said. "I'll let her know."

Rachel walked away, grinning. Her plan was in motion! Now to see if David's ice queen wife took the bait!

That night David told Lauren about the offer.

"It'll be a perfect chance to get in shape!" David explained.

"What's that supposed to mean?!" Lauren huffed, putting her hands on her hips.

David sighed. He loved his wife, but she was so touchy! She took ever comment about her appearance as a personal insult.

"I just mean, you were talking about wanting to get more exercise, remember?"

"I guess so..." Lauren said, a bit ****. She'd never had a gym membership before! Public showers, changing in locker rooms, those things were difficult for a woman like her!

"You'll be saving hundreds of dollars," David explained. "Also, the free training is a really great experience."

"Okay, I'll give it a shot." Lauren said, though she felt a unexplainable nervousness about the idea...
