What's next?
Freaky Friday Nights!
A thick green miasma filled the lobby, like a tear gas grenade filling the entire room in fog that sent the approaching police, Daredevil and Susan into a coughing fit that sent them falling to their knees, **** at the fumes the creature gave off. Instantly, the symbiote enveloped around Susan’s face and covered the rest of her head like a mask, her breathing becoming steady again as she regained her footing and looked down at her hands. She felt something squirming inside her body that made her wince before it quickly passed.
But for everyone else it didn’t.
Everyone else continued to cough, paralysed as the mist cleared, but the effects seemed to intensify. Getting back up to its feet and clicking its drooling mandibles back at Susan, the hunched creature didn’t make a move, even with the police, the Bite of the Hydra and Matt prone as they were. It took almost a few seconds, but Susan quickly found out why when one of the members of the terrorist group clutched at his sides… And long, arachnid limbs burst out of his shirt. One by one everyone on the floor writhed in agony as their bodies twisted and transformed, sprouting extra limbs, and wailing as oversized fangs dominated their mouths, and new eyes opened over their scalps. Their clothes tearing into tattered scraps that fell to the floor as they no longer fit their now bulbous multi-limbed forms. Taking a careful step back, Susan raised her fists as she now found herself surrounded by over a dozen human sized arachnids.
“Okay… This is going to get rough.” Looking over to Dare Devil, the hissing creature kicked off his ill-fitting boots and turned to stare back with milky pale eyes, a contrast to the unblinking black eyes of the rest of the spiders now surrounding the bloated enemy who glared back at her. “Daredevil? Are you still in there? Give me a sign.”
Pointing out with a clawed finger, the creature gave a hiss and as one, his new army of spiders immediately charged towards Lady Anti-Venom like an angry swarm. Thinking fast, Susan shot out a line of webbing and propelled herself up to the ceiling to get away, looking over her shoulder to find the massive spiders quickly scuttling up the walls to chase her.
“Got to find a way to get them back to normal.” She thought to herself, swinging from one end of the lobby to the other, finding to her horror the spiders could do the same. “But there are too many of them! I could handle two or three at that time, but this?”
Seeing the monster responsible slowly make its way towards the double door entrance to the museum where the police and news were waiting, Susan aimed a fist towards the door.
“NO WAY UGLY!” She accused, firing thick gouts of webbing to block off the exit and keep it there. “We’ve got enough dance partners as it is. Ooooph!”
Tackled in the air by one of the massive spiders, Susan crashed to the ground and just barely caught the dagger sized fangs in her hands to fight off the animal trying to bite her. Struggling against it pinning her to the ground, she could see in her peripheral the rest of the swarm scurrying down to join her attacker. Led by the pale eyed creature that used to be Daredevil himself.
“Come on, I need some help here!”
With that, a portion of her suit reached out and speared into the underbelly of the massive arachnid that had her pinned, stunning it still and giving her the freedom she needed to get up. But the suit wasn’t done as it sprouted an entire HOST of tentacles from her back and arms to impale the offending creatures all at once, stopping them dead in their tracks before her very eyes. She could feel them injecting… Something into her attackers, something that very quickly was turning everyone back to normal as the spiders atrophied their extra limbs back into their bodies, their additional eyes receding back into their foreheads, crying out now that their fangs no longer dominated their faces. Collapsing to the ground in exhausted slumps, the now human and cured people laid on the tiled floor. Leaving Susan to return her attention to the gibbering creature that watched the entire thing.
Standing back up to her own feet, that was short lived as the tentacles that had sprouted from her back hardened and shaped into three pairs of long spindly spidery legs that propped her up for her to bend her knees and stand on them instead. Her fists ready for a fight as her mask receded to reveal her face and hair again.
“Alright ugly, what do you have next?”
Looking down at the Fang of the Hydra all **** and cured of being turned into enslaved spiders, the creature fell to all fours… And scurried back towards the hole in the ground it crawled out from.
“OH NO YOU…” Aiming her fist to hit it with webbing, she made a face of anger as she was too slow to stop it. “Don’t…”
Fuming, Susan wrung her hands, until she heard one of the terrorists stir on the ground, the rest regaining consciousness as they sat up, rubbing their sore heads to look around. “Wha…?”
“Nu uh, we’re not having a round two of that!”
Pointing a fist over to the ringleader, Susan webbed him up in black webbing and did the same to the rest of his men, her thin arachnid legs clicking on the tiled floor as she quickly webbed up and gathered the group together and wiped her hands of her handywork.
“You can just sit there and think about what you did until the police wake up and arrest you.”
Looking over to see the webbing blocking the exit being cut away by the police outside, along with the officers with her in the lobby regaining consciousness, she spotted Daredevil groan and get to his hands and feet, just as she slunk an arm around his waist and pointed up to shoot a web line overhead to the skylight.
“Come on handsome, I don’t think you need them knowing your secret identity tonight.”
Climbing up the line up to the roof, Lady Anti-venom carefully closed the skylight behind her and made off with Matt over her shoulder, her additional legs retreating back into her suit as she shot a web line and swung away from the crime scene.
