Fox Hunting

You were either incredibly stupid, or incredibly brave.....nah you were probably stupid. You had been wandering around Inazuma on one of your off days when you encountered some of the roaming ronin, possessed roaming ronin mind you. At first they had been hostile but you quickly found yourself being welcomed as a comrade due to your nature. Surprisingly for supposed dark spirits they sure seemed welcoming for other lost souls.

"That blasted Guiji," One of them cursed. "Some of us were robbed of our lives on the battle field for this nation, and some of us just lived miserable lives because Sangonomiya just refuses to grow food. Now in our second chance at life she sees it fit to banish us whenever we have fun." A ronin growled.

You recalled your own struggles against similar beings in Liyue and admitted you felt a pang of sympathy for them. You two had been robbed and while you were just a spirit you were constantly hunted even when you mind your own business.

"Tell me stranger, how is have you not been caught?" A ronin wondered as he looked at you.

"Oh, I don't know, I've just been living as Yoimiya for most of the time." You admitted. "Maybe its because of that. I've been able to pass myself of as her and no one seems to notice."

"That could be a possibility but I know of others who tried similar tactics and were always found out." A ronin pondered. "Hmmm....wait a minute you died in Liyue right, and you were always possessing that girl since you arrived." He noted.

"Uh yeah, I haven't left her body since I possessed her." You admitted. "What does that have to with it?"

"Inazuma's got a ton of dark energy released from Orobashi's deceased body. It strengthens us, but to others it corrupts. It seems like since you're in a body, the energy isn't capable of tainting you, and since you aren't tainted, the fox can't sniff you out." He theorized.

"So if I leave Yoimiya, she might come after me." You panicked.

"Only if you do so around these islands. If you depossess her on the mainland you should be fine." He reasoned.

"Well that's a relief." You told him.

"Yeah, that means that dreaded Guiji won't be able to find you." He cheered. "Good for you mate." He chuckled though you could tell he was a little jealous.

"If you don't mind me asking, why don't you just possess the Guiji?" You questioned. "Surely with all your numbers you can overwhelm her."

"Easier said than done. The Guiji's spirit is strong, we actually did try to possess her before. We swarmed her, and backed her into the corner. She was injured but when we tried to possess her we were unable to. Despite her weakened spirit her body was protected by her vision. In our surprise she turned the tide and called down numerous bolts of lightning that sent as running."

"She was protected by a vision." You pondered as you took out Yoimiya's vision. You had possessed Yoimiya even with her vision, maybe you could do the same. "What if you tried again?" You asked the ronin. He looked at you doubtfully but then you showed him Yoimiya's vision. "Only this time, I'll possess her."

"That's a pretty big risk you're taking. Suppose it was a fluke and the Guiji is protected by something else."

"Suppose it isn't. Do you really want to keep running?" You asked.

"You make a good point, but if this goes south. It's on you." The ronin noted.

"I must say, another trap." Yae chuckled as she looked at the Ronin surrounding her. "You know you can't beat me, so why bother." A ronin tried to slash her only for Yae to disappear. An electric fox totem remained her place, shocking the ronin. "I am growing dreadfully bored of all these dates."

"Shut up vixen," A purple armored samurai called as he tried to fight her. For the most part they had become more use to her patterns but that didn't stop her from changing things on the fly.

Yae handled and dealt with every warrior that came after her, but eventually it started to come. She was becoming tired. It seems like there was another massive swarm of Ronin trying to take her out once and for all. No matter, this just made it more fun. Yae kept fighting, wiping out many in the process. She almost felt flattered, a whole army was coming after her and she was still coming out on top.

Her own hubris would become her undoing however. Eventually the fatigue caught up and though Yae had cleared a large swarm, she was starting to feel tired, her movments were slowing down. This wasn't problem in regards to her power usage, she could still use a ton of her power, but the slower movements meant she got hit more often and the slower she got.....

"Lucky shot." Yae groaned as she was actually sent flying back. She had been too slow on the dodge and had taken a heavy blow. Perhaps it was time to call it quits, she wondered. She tried to distract them with more totems as she made a run for it. It was a wound to her pride but even she knew the value of retreating from battle.

That's when it happened. A pyro arrow had shot her, overloading the electricity on her body. She was knocked down but as she got up she noticed the lean shadow moving. A shadow she recognized. "Yoimiya," Yae remarked as the Queen of Summer jumped up and fired a volley of fireworks at her. "No, not Yoimiya, a spirit possessing her." Yae realized.

"Correct." Yoimiya answered as she readied another arrow. Yae didn't give her time as she sent an electro fox after the girl. Yoimiya tried to avoid it but failed being snagged by the fox. The water she was standing in electrocharged and stunned Yoimiya, much to Yae's delight. However the fox had been distracted, two ronin immediately jumped her and pinned her to the ground while another went to tend 'Yoimiya'.

"So is that it. Possess a vision user and use them to take me down." Yae tried to mock. She needed to keep control of it. Keep them distracted as she built up power for one last strike. She'd never get the chance. Rather monologue, Yoimiya turned to Yae....and fainted. "Oh no." were the Kitsune's last words before everything went to black.

"Here are the fireworks you wanted, Madame Guiji." Yoimiya smiled as she dropped another box. Yae inspected the box taking note of all the fireworks present. "Is everything going smoothly for the festival?" Yoimiya asked.

"Yes everything is going well. I don't suspect we'll be needing anymore for the time being." Yae told her.

"Awesome, that means I can finally take a break." Yoimiya admitted as she stretched her arms.

"I told you it wasn't as easy at would seem." Yae sighed.

"I know but you of all people must know how nice it is to have this body." Yoimiya smirked as she gave her chest a fondle. Her hand was immediately slapped away by Miko.

"How many times have I told you, not in public?" Yae hissed.

"Oh come on, I''m sure at one point you've indulged yourself." Yoimiya pouted. "I mean who wouldn't with the foxy body, as annoying as she was." As if to taunt back, Yae made a sexy and charming posed as she prepared to tease Yoimiya, flashing her with a cute smile.

"You could always try releasing some stress on some Ronin." Yae chimed. "It works wonders."

"I'll pass. Those guys are like my brothers and it would just be weird." Yoimiya admitted.

"Fair enough."

"So are you feeling better?" Yoimiya wondered. "How's the recovery?"

"You all did quite the number on her but I'll recover just fine." Yae smirked. "Just fine indeed."
