You give a sigh of contentment as you put down your now empty glass of orange soda as you look around the pristine looking Pokémon center. You were finally able to get here and handover your Charmander to be healed. You even managed to buy a Magikarp from this guy who thought he was being slick. You managed to even get him to knock the price down by half thanks to the simple fact that you already were aware that Magikarp we're not the second coming of the poke-Messiah like he claimed. But you were willing to buy one and put in the effort because quite frankly having a Gyarados on your team would be worth the effort in your opinion.

'Just you wait Blue, once my little Sushi grows up all big and strong, hehehe then I guess i'll get to see if there's a better use for that big mouth of yours.'

As you giggled a little at the thought, you turned your head to look toward Green. Currently on a video phone with Professor Oak, Who was currently massaging the bridge of his nose no doubt after hearing what happened about Green's bike. It only took a second to walk a few feet to the video phone on the wall.

"Green, sigh. I know it wasn't your fault it was destroyed, but I had hoped you'ld get a little more mileage on it then the path to Viridin city at lest."

Green just continued to rub the back of his head in embarrassment with his free hand.

"i'll see what I can do about getting you another one, it may take a little while and the most likely scenario is I will be sending you a voucher for one."

You didn't need to be psychic to see Green's sigh in his head at hearing this. It truly was a tragedy what happened to that bike.

"Oh! Amber it's good to see you made it there too, I figured you might like to know that I gave Blue a thorough chewing out for having your Pokémon battle within the town limits instead of outside of it like you're supposed to."

That gave you a bit of a smile. Not just because Blue finally seemed to get in trouble for something for once, but that you quite simply couldn't see Professor Oak getting mad at somebody. He's usually a pretty calm guy.

"But just as a reminder to you two as well, please remember that outside of specially marked parks and the gyms you are not allowed to have Pokémon battles inside of city limits. I know it was on the test for your licenses but seeing as blue seemed to have forgotten I guess I need to be the responsible adult and reiterate the point to any trainer I talk to for now on even if it seems redundant."

You both gave a slight nod and a "Yes Professor" which gave him a big smile.

"now I know that you might be eager to go after the earth gym there, but don't be disappointed if you find out the place is closed. The gym leader there is actually a pretty big business tycoon and is normally pretty busy. it's normally a coin toss whether the place is open or not and even if it is most trainers wait until they get seven badges before taking him on. But don't let that discourage you if you still want to try. Gym leader is the only occupation other than Pokémon professor were your aloud more then 6 full pokeballs with certain restrictions, on your person at one time. This is because they will often have a variety of Pokémon to accommodate trainers from beginner to pro so you won't be attacked by his best of the best. That being said they're also not going to be pushovers just use your better judgment, and remember any trainer can proposition you if you lose, even gym leaders. They are no more above this rule then any other trainer."

With a notably more somber look on our faces we nodded and he hung up.

"Paging Amber. Paging Amber. Please report to the front desk."

Now with your bright eyed and flaming tailed Charmander on the table looking down at a map along with you and Green you discuss where to go next.

"I think route 22 would be a good idea to check out there's a little more variety of Pokémon there and if we can get a hold of a fishing rod maybe a few water types, but it's next to the entrance to the Pokémon league registration post so the Pokémon there may be a little tougher than we will be expecting right off the bat. We could try Route 2 while pretty common throughout the region the pokemon there would be a good place to start some training. I figure you don't want to backtrack to route 1 anymore then I would. So what do you think?
