Forget the book

You ignore the book and hear a light thud as it hits the mess on the floor. Doe abruptly withdraws from your kiss and turns toward the direction of sound. Realizing that it was only caused by the book she had just released, she turns back and says, "Some things can wait." She then pushes you away and hurriedly pulls off the purple turtleneck she has on, revealing a long halter dress.

"I didn't realize you wore that under your sweater," you say in a surprised tone.

"It gets warm in here, you know." She responds, as her eyes scan the mess on the floor.

"I thought you said, 'some things can wait.'?" You remark, moving towards her.

"Yes of course. But I meant that your down payment can wait." She says. "We have some more important things to do."

After some minutes of scanning the dusty mess on the floor, you venture to ask, "What are you looking for?"

"The book I just dropped!"

"You mean you can't find it?"

"John, would I still be looking if I already found it?"
