Forget about him

It’s hard because you’ve spent so much time thinking about him over the years, however, you know this is for the best. He is never going to be interested in you. No matter how much you want him to be, he has his own preferences and you clearly do not fall in line there.

You grab your phone and open up the dating app you’ve been trying to avoid. You didn’t want to be some **** woman, but Asher had really gotten your engine going all over again. You were getting older and already used, so you knew that your time was running out.

After searching through plenty of men, you once again found no one interesting. There was not a single man there who lived up to the standard that Asher had already set in your mind.

Though you were able to control yourself and keep your mind away from thoughts about him, you eventually drifted off into sleep. Before you knew it, you were waking up the next day and heading off to work.

To your surprise, the longer the day and even week went along, the longer you were able to keep your mind off of him. You just knew he was with Brittany, so there was no reason to try to desire him for yourself any longer.

That next night your phone buzzes in your pocket. You get it out and glance to see an unknown number.

UNKNOWN: Hey, Harmony, it’s Asher from church. I was hoping you would be willing to hear me out on an opportunity that I have that I think would be great for you.

You’re in shock. It’s not the kind of attention you’re hoping for from him, but you’re also interested in what he might be wanting to talk to you about.
