She looked at the man long and hard. He had been knocked out cold by the impact, but he would be coming around soon. She knew that if she left him, he would probably try to do this to someone else. It may have been her own damned fault that she let it get that far, but someone less experienced probably would have been utterly trapped from the first moment. If she had actually been some village girl, there would have been no way she would have escaped. The collar alone would have ensured that. Magical collars like that were not used very often because they were not secure - any mage could open them - but anyone who wasn't one would be good and trapped. She imagined the man pulling that stunt on some poor, terrified girl...

Yeah, that wasn't happening.

The blade sliced out once, killing him with a single blow. His body bled out slowly, and she turned away with a look of disgust. Suddenly, the riverside did not seem so pleasant. She washed as quickly as she could, dried herself by the fire, and donned her traveling clothes.

It was time to return to her journey.
