Meanwhile with Chi

“Damn it, so close.” She groaned, as she cut off the mind link with the nomus. If Ren had been just a few seconds late she would have been able to kill that pervert. She had ruled out him being mind controlled, he was conspiring with her sister willingly. But damn her sister.

Still it wasn’t a complete loss, the distraction had worked well, and her two real targets had been easy enough to capture. The blonde and pinkette were tied in ropes, having been taken from the lab. Both clearly under Ren’s power, whose eyes now shined in with nothing but pure venom.

“It’s disturbing to see them like that.” Kasumi noted, “I can sense their hatred.”

“I can imagine.” Chi replied.

“I can also feel their feelings for him, I-I can’t tell the difference between them and real love.” She said, it seemed that Ren’s power had become more refined over the years.

“Can you do anything?” Chi asked, her sister shook her head.

“I can only reduce or amplify emotions my target is feeling, I can’t eliminate them and when it’s this much. Not even Mom was this bad.” Kasumi said, disappointed in herself.

“It’s not your fault, besides I have an idea.” Chi assured her, as she prepared her own quirk. While Ren controlled minds and Kasumi controlled emotions (albeit she had little experience in it), Chi created mind links between people or herself.

She opened that link between her and the slaves though not without precautions to protect herself from their influence.

Their minds were incredibly advanced, and in some ways completely incomprehensibly intelligent. Chi too could share in that intellect somewhat, to see their secrets and if she so chose she could share experiences. But the intellect what she desired.

She connected their minds, careful to keep their feelings for Midoriya from influencing the connection. She began to learn at a level no human should be capable of, of technologies more advanced than humanity should be capable of.

New plans began to form, she didn’t have access to the resources to build some of the more advanced equipment like the time machine, but for some other innovations she could match Ren’s power.

“Kasumi I have a plan.”
