Chapter 4 by Vain Vain

So, what will your tribe do with female prisoners from now on?

For this one, a trial!

"A hundred, you say...?" You ask with a sigh as you listen to the torrent of insults coming from this woman. Not only does she lack in etiquette, but seemingly also in common sense. "Then how is it that you kneel for me now, with your arms tied behind your back, and threatening me with nothing but empty words...?"

"I killed half a dozen of your warriors while they were trying to capture me!" The amazon informs you, with a defiant grin on her face, even as you've already pointed out the hopelessness of her situation. It's difficult to say if she's actually the bravest, or simply most stupid kind of human you've ever encountered.

"Five, or even six, are pretty far from a hundred." You smile politely in return. "And you let yourself be captured, rather than fighting to the very end? Could it be you've been sent as a scout, just because you're nothing but a burden to your tribe? Or did you somehow fall asleep on the trail, so that my warriors could find and easily overwhelm you?"

"I'm a great warrior of my tribe!" She's spitting back at you, but blushes as even she can see how silly she's acting in front of you. Being humiliated through discussion with a mere goblin must hurt her as much as being captured alive by them.

"Very interesting..." You nod to yourself, while leaning back in your chair for some thought. Then you look at your captive again, admiring her female curves, but also estimating her strength. Finally you break the silence again, with words that immediately draws her attention. "How about you prove to me just how strong you are, little amazon? I value strength in combat after all, and would love to see how you fight."

In truth you're more interested in how to counter a possible attack of course, than of a mere display of her martial skills, but find that a display like this could also aid you in plenty of ways. Even if the woman would make it through her trial, and perhaps earn her own freedom, she could still be valuable in spreading the word about both you and your tribe to her own... Information that have been altered as you would like it be told.

And if she fails you might have broken her spirit, making it easier to submit her to whatever plans you have in mind, while also strengthening those of your goblin warriors...

"I'm listening..." Sheila says, and seems a lot more reasonable now that she thinks her life may not be as forfeit as she'd believed, while unknowing that this too could serve to your advantage.

Just a few moments later you've both stepped out of your tent, with your entire tribe turning their faces towards you in expectation of what you might have in mind for your captive. A few cheers rises from among the throng as you lead her towards the fighting pit, allthough some are also clearly dissapointed that she's not for breeding (as of yet, at least...)

Then you cut her ropes, and let her step into the pit, before deciding what trial she will be facing...

What's her trial?
