What's next?
Fool and Knight
Fool. The player loses 10,000 hours worth of knowledge. After the magic takes effect, the card fades from existence and compels the player to draw again. This second draw has no bearing on their initial declared draw quantity.
Knight: You gain the service of a powerful athlete who appears near you. The athlete will serves you loyally until ****, believing the fates have drawn him or her to you.
Bella stared at her open textbook. She was losing her mind. With a groan she slammed it shut.
She knew she had to study. She'd failed to get the score she wanted the first time she took the MCATs, this time she NEEDED to success. It was her last chance.
Still though, it was Halloween. She shouldn't be cooped in here studying, she should be dressed like a slutty pumpkin and out partying. She stared off into space and wondered what she should do.

Eventually she decided that she couldn't afford to go partying, but a little break wouldn't hurt. She'd at least go for a walk to the student union and grab a coffee.
She'd just made it outside when she saw someone in a skeleton costume. It looked super realistic, except for the glowing eyes of course. She was surprised when he turned to her and spoke, "Good evening. You aren't going to any parties?"
She shook her head, "Gotta study."
He nodded and pulled out a deck of cards, "Take one. For good fortune, or bad."
She shrugged and plucked one out, "Fool? What does that mean?"
"Hmm...take another." He said.
She did, "This one says Knight. Are these Tarot cards or what?"
"Bella!?" A voice behind her caused her to turn around. There was a woman in Halloween costume waving to her. Who was that? As she got closer Bella realized she did know her, although barely. It was Jordan. They only shared one class together but Bella knew her because she was practically famous on campus for leading the Volleyball team to the championship last year. But how did she even know Bella's name? She was sure they'd never spoken before.

Jordan stopped just in front of her, "I'm so glad I ran into you. Are you going to Stacy's party?"
Stacy? Who the hell was...oh...she must mean the cheer captain. Even if Bella didn't need to study there's no way she'd end up at THAT party. Bella was, admittedly, a nerd. She didn't belong at that kind of party.
"Um...no..." She said meekly. "I'm sorry, do you maybe have me confused with someone else?"
"What? No. Of course not. You're Bella Hartono, I know exactly who you are." Jordan said with a smile.
"Right...uh, it's just...we've never spoken before..."
"First time for everything. So what are you up to? If you aren't going to Stacy's then I'd be happy to accompany you elsewhere."
Jordan was giving off some weird puppy dog vibe, Bella couldn't understand what was going on, "Um, I was going to get a coffee and..."
"I'll come with you. Let's go." Jordan beamed at her and Bella felt like she had ****. She walked with Jordan to the student union and then Jordan insisted on paying for their drinks.
"OK...is this some...prank? Or something? I don't understand what's going on." Bella said as they sat down.
"No prank. I'm sorry I never tried to talk to you before, but for some reason tonight I just felt that it was finally time. I know you barely know me but I hope you give me the chance to prove my loyalty to you."
"Loyalty?" That was an odd word. Why they hell is she brining up loyalty?
Bella changed the subject. Quickly. They were talking about the news when suddenly the cafe door burst open and there was Stacy, the cheerleader.
"Jordan! There you are! You were supposed to help set up for my party, not hang out with some Beaner."
Jordan froze. She slowly turned to face Stacy and then rose out of her seat, towering over her the diminutive cheerleader, "How dare you," She said coldly, "Apologize to her now."
"What? No way. She's just some loser. Why are you even here? Did you need help with your homework or something?" Stacy asked.
"If you won't apologize then you are dead to me," Jordan said, "Bella is my friend and worthy of your respect. If you don't get that then we can never be friends. Please leave."
"But..." Stacy was confused. She looked at Bella and Bella flinched back, "What did you do to her you slut-"
SLAP!
Silence fell in the aftermath. Jordan stood over Stacy, now on the floor clutching her cheek, Jordan's handprint stretched across her face. Stacy opened and closed her mouth a few times, but couldn't find the words. Eventually she got up and ran out of the cafe.
Jordan turned back to Bella, "I'm so sorry. Nobody should have to put up with that treatment, but especially you."
Bella still didn't understand why Jordan was suddenly trying to befriend her, but that slap was no joke. If Jordan was willing to go that far, she must be serious.
So Bella decided to give her a chance. Jordan managed to convince her to go out after all. She borrowed a costume from Jordan and they went to a bar downtown. It was surprisingly fun. Jordan was way cooler than she'd expected.
Of course that meant the next morning she was hungover, but she knew that she'd been cramming for a while and really could use the break. Jordan came over and distracted her anyway, and they hung out on Sunday too.
Monday was her big re-test. Her shot at going to med school like she'd always dreamed.
Except...
As she looked at the test she suddenly didn't understand any of it. It was like it was written in a different language. It was impossible.
Even after leaving the exam she continued to struggle. She went to her lectures and could heard the professors just fine, but what they said made no sense to her. It was like 4 years of education had just vanished from her mind.
She tried to keep up. She spent all nighters while Jordan brought her food or massaged her shoulders pouring over her textbooks, but she had to go back and learn the very early fundamentals. She couldn't do it.
She bombed the MCAT. Lowest possible score. Not only that she failed one midterm after the other, and then she failed one final after another.
The University put her on academic probation, then quickly expelled her.
Through it all Jordan didn't abandon her. Bella just couldn't understand it.
As she got to know Jordan better she realized they had nothing in common. There was no way they should be friends. She didn't even particularly like Jordan, but Jordan stuck to her like glue. Bella only let her because she had no one else to turn to and she felt bad pushing her away.
Jordan was outgoing and loved sports but she completely abandoned all of that to be with Bella. She got kicked off the volleyball team because she was helping Bella study and missed a game. Bella had never asked for that, Jordan did it all on her own.
When Bella got kicked out, Jordan offered to support her financially, 100%.
"But why? Why why why?" Bella couldn't understand.
"I'd do anything for you. Anything you say." Jordan answered.
"I seriously doubt that." Bella said.
Jordan looked hurt, "No, I really mean it. Tell me to jump, I won't ask how high, I'll just do it."
Bella rolled her eyes, "Sure. Ok. Slap yourself in the face."
SLAP!
Jordan didn't hesitate. She hit herself, hard.
Bella gasped, "Holy shit. I can't believe you would do that!"
"I told you, anything you ask."
"So if I said...strip naked and run around the block."
Jordan stood up and pulled her shirt off. She was very clearly about to do it.
"Wait, stop." Bella couldn't believe it. She didn't want this power over another human. What the hell was going on? She resolved to be very careful with her words. She wouldn't order Jordan to do anything. Just in case.
That resolve lasted as long as the money did.
It turns out Jordan had been attending school on a Volleyball scholarship. When she'd been kicked off the team, she lost it. Her grades were never very good and she spent so much time devoted to Bella that soon she too got expelled.
The two of them found themselves homeless, tens of thousands of dollars in debt and unemployed.
They needed money, fast.
Bella wondered just how far Jordan would go, "Jordan you need to earn us some money. There's an amateurs night at the strip club..." Between the two of them who would earn more? Plain Jane Bella or Bombshell Jordan? If Jordan went, they had a chance. "I want you to sign up and earn as much as you can."
"Ok." Jordan didn't hesitate. Bella felt bad about sending her friend there on her own so she sucked it up and paid the cover to sit in the audience and watch. When Jordan walked out it was electric. She danced like it was her life's greatest pleasure. Bella had always considered herself to be straight, but she found herself getting wet watching Jordan move out there.
Jordan did well. Really well. Enough that they could afford a motel to sleep in for a while.
It was at the motel that Bella witnessed a rather suspicious couple entering the unit beside them. She asked Jordan, "Would you whore yourself out for me?"
"Absolutely!" Jordan didn't hesitate.
Bella shook her head. She couldn't do that. That was too far. "Are you in love with me?"
"If you want me to be." Jordan said.
Bella shook her head, "No that's...ugh. Fuck. Fine. You want to be my loyal pet? Let's see how far you'll really go. Strip and kneel in front of me."
Of course Jordan obeyed, stripping and kneeling on the bed.
"Like my feet....wait stop." Bella had just done that because she'd seen it in movies but ew, gross. "Uh...masturbate."
Holy fuck...she's doing it. Bella couldn't believe it. She'd never felt like Jordan was really her friend. More like a lost puppy. But that had been wrong too. Jordan wasn't her puppy. She was her ****. Jordan would do ANYTHING she asked.

For a few weeks after that night she resisted her worse impulses. She made Jordan go back to the strip club, they needed money after all, but she treated her well enough back at the motel. After that first night she didn't make her do anything sexual, well, except for working at the club.
The problem was that Bella was feeling increasingly frustrated. She'd wanted to become a doctor not because she wanted to help people, but because she wanted to be rich and independent. Right now she was neither.
Becoming independent would be hard at this point. She had no education and no money to go back to school. She had no skills, no way to make money except at some minimum wage job.
But rich? If she was willing to lean on Jordan, maybe, maybe she could be.
One day she ordered Jordan to follow her into the suburbs. They took the bus out there and eventually walked up to a rather nice house. Bella knocked and Jordan was surprised to see the owner, "Professor March?"
"Jordan...so nice to see you again." Professor March licked his lips, "Do come in."
The girls went into the living room with him. He looked back and forth between the girls before settling on Bella, "So...it's all agreed then?"
Bella nodded, "Yes. You have the money?"
Professor March handed her an envelope. Bella opened it and started counting out the cash, "Yes. It's all here," $5000. It was a lot of money. Jordan had told her how Professor March used to stare at her. She thought he was creepy. Turns out she was right. "Jordan you will obey Professor March for the next 8 hours. You will make sure he gets his money worth. Do you understand?"
Jordan looked shocked, but only for a moment, she nodded, "Yes Bella. For you, of course I'll do it."
"Then I'll come pick you up tonight."
Bella left. She had no need to witness things.
When she picked Jordan up later that night her hair was full of cum and all her clothes were stained and ripped. Jordan only remarked that he had impressive stamina for a man his age.
After that the floodgates were opened. Bella had Jordan on OnlyFans, stripping, traditional porn, and of course, prostitution. She became determined to squeeze out every drop of usefulness from her.
Jordan was popular, not just because of her body, but because of the enthusiasm she brought to it. As long as it was for Bella, she'd do anything.
Of course things don't always go your way. While it's perfectly legal to film yourself fucking for money, it's another story if you take away the camera. And worse than prostitution was trafficking. Bella was guilty, although of course Jordan testified in court that Bella had nothing to do with it. The jury felt otherwise and Bella ended up in prison.
Jordan promised to wait for her. Of course she would. But Bella's conscious finally caught up to her. She told Jordan what would really make her happy, what would really prove Jordan's loyalty to her, was to take the money and live her life for herself. To go straight and have a good life. Bella made Jordan promise not to visit her in prison.
With Jordan out of her mind Bella took that opportunity to do some soul searching. She started a correspondence course through the prison to complete the degree she'd never finished. She tried to improve herself every day and by the time she was realized she was a brand new woman.
She was not surprised to see Jordan waiting for her on that day. Jordan just couldn't stay away and Bella couldn't make her go. They got married a year later. They were never rich, but they didn't have to resort to selling Jordan again. Not that Jordan would have objected, after all she was loyal to the very end.
