Food, drink and company, until home time.

They spent the next couple of hours eating and drinking in each other’s company. It was a lovely night. Soon enough though it was late, and they all had work the next day. They showed Amat to a cab, and looked on as she had to hunch to fit her antlers inside before heading home. Jan was quite tipsy, Steve, having decided to drive, was not. They spoke quietly in the car about the night, having both enjoyed the company and the food.

“Sorry date night didn’t end up being just you and me.” Steve apologised when they were getting close to home.

“Don’t we helped someone, and it was a nice night. We just need to make sure that Sunday and Monday we have some quality time, cause then I will be over at Kay and Gen’s for a few days.”

Steve ran his hand up Jan’s leg as they turned into their street, “Are you looking forward to next week?” He asked.

Jan nodded, “I am, with everything we have discussed and the idea of doing something so taboo. I mean sex outside of my vows, which I haven’t taken yet,” She added while playing with her engagement ring, “and sex outside my species. Let alone risking pregnancy. But I am looking forward to tonight as well.” She added.

Steve smiled, “Oh, what’s going on tonight?” He asked as they pulled up at their garage.

Jan turned to him, “I hope this isn’t too forward, but I want you in my bed.”

Steve smiled, “I would say that is no different to every night, but lately it has been.”

Jan smiled, “I kind of made Gen a promise to Gen for next week, but I would like to do the same for you tonight.”

Steve raised his eyebrows, “Oh and what kind of promise was that?” He asked opening the door to the house and letting Jan step through.

“You head to the bedroom, I will be in soon and you will see.” Jan said simply.

He leant over and kissed her, “I will see you in there soon.” He said. Steve headed to the bedroom, curious and hard over what promise Jan had made Gen that she would also be giving him. Entering the bedroom he found their master bed without any feet and a note sitting at the foot od the bed.

‘Sorry, couldn’t fix the bed, removed the other legs so it’s flat. We will get you a new one which can handle having a centaur. Don’t forget to call me for a lunchtime catch up. Mina’

He laughed before putting the note to the side and getting undressed. He lay down on the bed, thinking about everything, he realised he had been having a feeling he couldn’t quite put his finger on for the last several days. He felt it when he saw Jan’s happiness, and thought he might have to talk to Jan about it and see if she felt similarly. Those thoughts however left him as Jan walked into the bedroom.
