Following a lead

Two weeks later

"...So what do you have so far?" Raven asked Zatanna, having arrived at the Sanctum after finishing a mission with the Titans.

"Well, I can tell you that there's no such thing as 'the spleen of the multiverse," Zatanna replied. "But there is a heart. That's probably what Klarion was referring to."

"He said it'd be destroyed. The heart of the multiverse being destroyed... that sounds like it'd be kinda problematic," Raven said.

Zatanna nodded in agreement. "No kidding... I'm not sure what would happen if someone destroyed something like that, but I don't think we want to find out."

"OK, so apparently this heart exists. What else do we know about it?" Raven asked. "And where would we even start looking for something like that? The multiverse is a big place."

"Actually, I've been looking into that," Wanda interjected. "I'm investigating locations worldwide where extradimensional energy readings have been reported. I would assume multiversal heart's energy would permeate through the countless universes in it. The heart almost certainly has a unique energy signature -- if we can figure that out, we're sure to learn more about it."

Raven turned to Wanda and nodded. "Any idea where we should start looking?"

"We've picked up an unusual energy signature from Madripoor, of all places," Wanda explained. "Seems like as good a place to start as any."

"Madripoor?" Raven asked. "That's a sketchy place... not somewhere I'd jump at the opportunity to visit."

"Me neither, but there's _something _there," Zatanna chimed in. "Prepare to be surprised."

"Uh-huh. I just hope it's the good kind," Raven remarked.
