Follow up with the Seductress

Back in the mansion, you pull up your computer to look up the individuals you had just met. You remember Finder's ability and wonder if he knows about you stopping time back at the warehouse. Windstress and Finder didn't have any online presence but Flyer and Lightning did. They posted lots of pictures online with their two young children. Nobody would have suspected them of possessing magical powers.

The last person you look up is Seductress, or Julia Watkins. It turns out that she's a medical student and comes from a family of doctors. Strangely, she doesn't have many friends on social media. You look at the time and it's the middle of the afternoon. Hoping she's home, you teleport back to Washington and hop into a cab to her address.

Julia lives in the basement apartment of a three-level condominium and it's accessible via a door on the side of the building. You recall her power and decide to proceed with caution. You knock on the door then duck out sight of the peephole. When you hear the door unlock and open, you stop time.

Julia had cracked open the door just enough for you to squeeze pass her and enter the apartment. It was a small but comfy studio apartment. Medical textbooks lay around everywhere. Julia looks drastically different out of costume, except for the red hair. She must have dyed it such a bright red. She was wearing a see-through white t-shirt and a pair of yellow laced panties. You can't resist and slip your hand under her shirt to grope her round breasts. She must at least be a 36C, and even though they sag a little, they're just nice.

You activate the mind control ring and whisper instructions into Julia's ear. First, you forbid her from ever using her power on you. Second, you compel her to always be truthful to you. Lastly, you make sure that she will never try to harm you or act against your interests.

After that, you close the door and restart time. You're standing behind Julia when she starts to move again. She realizes that the door is closed, and she spins around in surprise.

"You!" she says.

"Hi."

"What are you doing here?"

"I want know what the others are really planning. Something tells me they weren't being up front with me in the warehouse."

You see Julia reach for her ring to activate its power, but she's speechless when she opens her mouth. She attempts to speak repeatedly, until she deactivates the ring. "What did you do to me?" she asks, alarmed.

"You won't be able to use that on me. And you'll have to tell me the truth when I ask you." She doesn't have a couch in the studio, so you sit down on the end of her bed after pushing aside some textbooks.

"The others will find out about this."

"I don't care really. They can't do anything about it without your help, am I right?"

Julia nods.

"Tell me their plan."

"Changer is indeed a problem that we've been trying to deal with. What they didn't tell you is that there were 2 other members, in addition to Changer. She went rogue and killed the other two for their rings. I joined after that, so I don't know about them."

"What did their magic rings do?"

"I don't know. They won't talk about it." That was problematic. They wanted you to go after someone without telling you what other magical abilities she possessed.

"What else?"

"They really need your help because they're afraid Changer will come after their rings. Once you had dealt with her, I was supposed to use my power on you and take your rings. We would each take one of yours."

"Wait, so all this nonsense about the Guardians of Balance, is that real?" you ask.

"No. They're all criminals. They use their powers to rob banks or commit crimes. Windstress is a contract killer too."

"What about you?"

"I steal. My power lets me make rich men do what I want. And I don't even have to sleep with them."

"Interesting," you say, rubbing your chin. "Here's what I propose. I don't care about your stealing, as long as it doesn't harm anyone. But from now on, you'll work for me. Kind of like a sidekick. I'll protect you from the others. What do you say?"

Julia paced the room, considering her options. She knew that you could just as easily compel her to agree to your terms. She also realized that you were more powerful that all the others combined.

"Will you lift your mind control over me?"

"No. I need to protect myself."

"One condition," Julia held up a finger.

"State it."

"I want Changer's ring."

You had to consider her condition. Shapeshifting would be an interesting ability, but you couldn't think of anything you couldn't accomplish without it.

"Deal," you stick out a hand and Julia shakes it.
