Follow Him to your room.

I walk into my room and find Adam sitting on my bed rather casual looking. I also notice my wardrobe is open which makes me a little nervous.

“So what did you want me to come in here for?” I ask Adam nervously.

“I wanted to open your eyes to a new, better, more exciting and interesting world that awaits you Jonah, and the opening to that new world is right over there” Adam gestures towards the open wardrobe in the corner of my room. “Don’t worry, this isn’t some Narnia situation, there’s not a literal world inside the wardrobe but just a new beginning, if you trust me that is” he says this last part with a level of sincerity I hadn’t seen from my brother in a long time, even taking my hand in his and looking into my eyes as he said it to me.

“I don’t know if I can trust you Adam, not after you’ve been so cold and manipulative and aggressive these last few days and weeks whenever something hasn’t gone your way - I appreciate you opening up to me like this and doing it in a kind way but what happens if I say no to something or I disagree with you some time in the future? Does this aggressive, manipulative version of you return? You really hurt me tonight Adam - literally and emotionally, that’s going to be hard to take back” I stammer through telling Adam how I feel barely managing to hold back my tears as I do, and all I can hope is that Adam sees how he has affected me and will understand how I feel right now.

“I know I hurt you, and I didn’t treat you with the respect you deserve Jonah but in my mind I was trying to help you, to help you do what I think is best for you, but I took it to far and went about it the completely wrong way, but don’t worry it will never happen again - I’ve learned now that it’s not the way to go about things and I won’t ever let you be hurt like that again. I do still want you to trust me though Jonah, just for now at least - there’s something I want to show you, something I want you to try, to give a chance to and see how you feel - nothing is irreversible if you change your mind but I have a feeling once you give this a chance you’ll be really glad you did. Will you trust me Jonah?”

“Oh, we’ll thanks I guess, I appreciate it. Umm, what’s the surprise Adam?” I asked, blushing red with nerves

I let things go around and around in circles in my mind - everything Adam had said to me and whether or not it was enough to make me trust him again, in the end I decided I should at least see what he wants me to try out for him.

“Ok Adam, what is it you want to show me?” I ask him calmly

“It’s over there, you’ll see there’s a special set of shelves in there now, and I want you to go and pick out an outfit from there” Adam gestures to my wardrobe again.

Not wanting to start anything with Adam again, and kind of curious about what these special shelves could be, I get up and go take a look in my wardrobe.

I nearly faint when I see the right hand set of shelves in my wardrobe is now an assortment of a lot of pink and a bunch of girly clothing - not just underwear but clothes. I eventually stop staring in shock at it all and start flicking through what’s inside the shelves. I find as I do that there’s something satisfying about seeing all of this stuff in my wardrobe, something that calms and excites me at the same time. I rifle through the handful of shelves before eventually coming to a stop and hesitantly picking out a skirt and a top that seemed to grab my attention.

I pick them up and turn to head back to the bed with them but Adam stops me.

“Nice choice Jonah but I don’t want you to just bring them over here so I can see them, I want you to model them over here for me”

I go and put on the skirt and top over the pink lacey thong I was already wearing, it’s surprisingly comfortable and freeing to be wearing them but I do my best not to let Adam see that as I check myself out in the mirror.
