Focus on Vernon back with Bonecrusher talking about his influence in the world

"You mean due to all those Houses I got now, those freaks will wish to kiss my feet?" exclaimed Vernon in abject disbelief at hearing the small Goblins proclamation.

Bonecrushed sighed and pinch his nose. The muggle man was thick when it came to understanding anything involving magic, it seemed.

"Not exactly Mister Dursley. But due to taking over your nephews stewardship of several ancient houses you have soft power and actual magical power just via proxy. Even before taking most of your nephews magic away from him, you Mister Dursley, by virtue of being in charge of House Potter and all the other Houses under your care, have gained a level of influence upon Witches and Wizards around you.

The soft power aspect is rather obvious. Wizard and witches not dissimilar to just about most sentient races tend to flock around those with money and fame and wish to get in their good graces. The hard power aspect you will experience is that due to the sheer quantity of houses, and powerful ones at that, you are in charge off, you will have people actively change to meet your standards. Women will become thicker or thinner, dumber or smarter, change their entire personality upon prolonged contact with you OR your nephew. Him being a sort of amplifier in that sense, since he is the only magical member of your family and acts like your proxy in a sense. You likely made a couple of the girls you examined quite confused during your initial examination of them, should they have been close to your nephew at the time. The first burst of influence hits way harder for a couple of minutes.

You won't get people to kiss you shoes, not unless they spent rather long time around you or your nephew at least. A couple of years probably. But they will wish to please you. I have seen a case similar to yours with a German family long ago. The current person in charge was a woman with seven ancient houses under her control. She was a lesbian and preferred to get her lovers from France, and no matter how much they originally tried to hide it, all her lovers would talk in a thick french accent due to her love of the sound.

Most subtle stuff can be achieved almost immediately, but anything more, will take time on your part. Or, the person you are affecting being weak willed / desperate for approval. That ought to speed things up a fair bit too I suppose"

As Vernon looked at the smaller freak in front of him in disbelief he began to wonder to himself if it would...

"Yes Mister Dursley, it doesn't only affect witches and wizards. One of the reasons I am as cordial as I am with you is that your have considerable wealth and I and the other people at Gringotts would like you to stay our patron. Muggles ought to be a lot easier to influence then us Goblins and magically gifted too. There are other "freaks" that it could in theory influence, but you likely wont care about that"

Vernon then took a step back.

"You can read my bloody mind?" exclaimed the old fat Muggle in front of Bonecrusher sweat dripping off his brow.

This got a giggle out of the small monster.

"No, you are just very predictable in your thought pattern Mister Dursley no worry. Though I COULD read you mind, I do not see a reason too"

Vernon let out a huff of indignation as he more closely examined the ring that granted him this power the Goblin spoke off. Such a small thing could have such an impact on everybody...
