Chapter 13 by MidbossMan MidbossMan

What's next?

Flowers lost the game!

The other mercenaries watching the game murmured among one another, surprised at how this had turned out. They all had a strong impression that, crazy as she was, Flowers was actually one of the most intelligent mercs in the camp, one who ought to have been a shoe-in to win in a game that involved a little strategy. Not to mention she had that lucky clover-- that was usually a pretty good indicator of luck. She seemed like the type that would never find herself in a serious predicament thanks to whatever lucky star she was born under.

To see her defeated was a little humiliating for all of them. Now, speaking of humiliation...

"It's now time for you to decide, Ms. Redd," Colline spoke up, then leaped in front of her champion's face for full attention. "Do you wish to grant Flowers mercy and have me collect upon the debt, or will you instead surrender her to the twisted whims of the devil? I know which answer our Lord and Savior, the infallible Jesus Christ, Son of God would choose, but-"

Colline gasped as Betty pushed her aside, now occupying the space in front of Robin's eyes. "C'moooon, Robbie-Baby! Live a little!"

Flowers leaned across the table, forcing Colline and Betty to jump to either side to make room for her big head. "Heeey, this is a long dramatic pause! What did you want me to do? Just so you know: I can't unburn things, so if I burnt something in the past like your house or your favorite teddy bear or your parents, I can't bring those back! Now, if you need something burnt, I have somebody I can put a good word in with!"

"Nothing like that, Ms. Flowers. What I do have in mind is..."

Which punishment will you pick?
