The decade passed slowly and quickly. It was difficult to have a real bearing on the world in prison. Instead, she focused on her fitness, reading, and keeping Dee happy. Before she knew it, Carrie had been with Dee for far longer than she'd been with any man.

She'd made tentative outreach to her sister Cassie. Cassie was disturbed at the stories she heard from Carrie -- the hooking, the drugs, the strange men, and now the turn to lesbianism. But she was happy that Carrie was finally settled down at least.

It was now three weeks left. Three weeks until the mutual liberation of Carrie and Dee.
