First practice

The practice hall was full of life. Veronica arrived to her place, the front row right in front of dirigent spot. She took her flute from the bag and started to tune. After a few tries she was happy with the result so she prepared the sheet music and begin to relax. Soon the Dirigent arrived and Veronica, together with the rest of the orchestra, stood up to greet him.

"Sit down everybody. Welcome to the first practice for the traditional Pajamas Concert. You were selected because you are the best that our academy currently have. I say currently, because if you don't practice I have a replacements ready for every single one of you."

Veronica noticed some people went white but she remembered a similar speech from her first encounter with him as a player. The dirigent was harsh, but fair guy and she had the utmost respect for him. He knew how to get the best out of his students, even if some of his methods were a little bit unconventional.

"There is one more thing. This performance is gonna be special in more ways than usual. Veronica, if you can stand up for just a moment."

Veronica put down her flute and slowly stood up. She could feel the eyes on her.

"Veronica here had an unique wish for her concert attire. Since she likes to sleep au naturel, she wants to take the stage dressed accordingly. The faculty agreed so this is the reality and we all need to get used to it. "

Veronica could hear the murmur from the other players. She heard the words "slut", "crazy", "attention" but also "awesome", "hot" and "picture". The difference in opinions seemed to be in gender, as girls seemed to be the ones less excited than the boys.

"But I am worried about you being a distraction to the other members during the rehearsals. While I trust you all to be professional and to focus on your performance, the sight of naked skin can be quite distracting, especially for boys. So I want you to get used to it. Veronica, take your clothes off."
