First meetings

Looking around the various houses of the part of Pallet Town, Misty continued her search for Ash. He had to be around here, unless she had just missed him. Wasn't out of the realm of possibilities, but the gym leader doubted it. No, something was going on. But what exactly?

"Hi there!" a chipper voice greeted and Misty scanned the nearby area. Two houses down, a woman ripped straight out of the fifties stood. Dressed in a blue pinafore dress decorated with white polka-dots, what looked to be stockings led perfectly into a set of vintage blue vinyl pumps. A diamond ring hung around her ring finger, complimenting the pearl string around her neck and the pearls hanging from her ears. Her face was expertly done up in such a way to accentuate the vintage look she was going for. Add in the black locks of hair done up in a tight yet perfect beehive framed by a pair of brown eyes, a twinge of jealousy formed in Misty's mind. "I'm Margret. Could I interest you in a cup of coffee and a freshly baked cookie?"

Misty looked away. While this woman could help her find Ash, something about her seemed... off. But the gym leader couldn't quite put her finger on what exactly it was about her.
