Jaune knew that the other members of the team would likely be coming back soon, considering that he wrote they would be less worried about what Penny was up to, and especially since, as he pondered this, Ciel pulled out her scroll. Likely telling them Penny was back.

Jaune wasted no time, pulling out the note.

"Ciel Soleil will enter a trance and follow any order Jaune Arc gives her until he tells her to return to normal"

Just after Ciel hit send on her scroll, her face went blank and her body went limp. Her scroll tumbled to the floor.

"Ciel? Are you okay?" Penny asked, giving her arm a poke and causing her to wobble in place.

"Don't worry Penny!" Ruby reassured her "I can explain later."

Meanwhile, Jaune grabbed the scroll from the floor.

"Penny has returned. You may come back now" was all she had written. Jaune decided to add in a little something extra, sending another message.

"There is somewhere she wishes to go, apparently. I shall accompany her."

Jaune then looked to Ciel.

"Alright. Ciel, come with me."

Ciel began to shuffle off behind Jaune, as he took her, Penny, and Ruby elsewhere. It wasn't late in the day, so going back to Beacon was an option. But then he had to worry about the watchful eyes of Ozpin. Perhaps there was somewhere private they could go thanks to the festival? But he then realized - he knew someone who knew the city well.

He picked up his scroll and dialed.

"Hey. Kinda busy with that errand you sent me on!" Yang's voice came out as a 'greeting'

"I know. Keep looking. But listen - I need somewhere private that I can take Penny, Ciel, and Ruby... honestly, I'd LIKE some kind of base of operations in the city. Any ideas?"

Yang was quiet for a minute, before letting out a mischievous snicker.

"There's a club I went to called Junior's. The owner uh... Junior. Is a real jerk. Runs some kind of small time mob. BUUUUT with the Note that shouldn't be a problem. His club would be a great place to hide out."

Jaune nodded. He wasn't exactly thrilled at the idea of getting involved with someone like that, but it would keep others from interrupting him.

"Fine. Text me the details on Junior and the directions. I'll handle everything else."

"Gotcha! I'll meet you there once I finish hunting down Blake."

And with that, they began heading for the Club.
