First class with Oobleck, and another incident with Cardin.

The next day of class was a little interesting. The subject matter was history, and the teacher, despite being... like an adult male version of Nora, clearly knew what he was talking about, so long as one could keep up with his motor mouth, one could learn quite a lot from his lessons. Oobleck spoke rapidly about many historical events, digressing on occasion, but even those digressions had educational value, some interesting overlooked facts from the events in question.

As for who was succeeding in the challenge of following his lecture the best... "Nora seems to be able to follow his every word better than everyone else," Jaune remarked to Ruby in an undertone.

"Not sure if that's surprising or not," she whispered back as Oobleck paused briefly to sip his coffee. "On one hand, I wouldn't consider Nora to be much of an academic... on the other hand, they speak the same language."

"Supersonican?" Jaune joked, and she giggled.

"I'm just recording it on my Scroll, and intend to slow down the video later," she told him.

"...good thinking, send me a copy," he muttered, and she nodded.

Once class ended, Jaune went to his locker to get his armor and sword, intending to go train with Pyrrha again. As he exited, carrying his shield in its compact mode, he passed by Cardin, who smirked, and pressed the button on the shield to make it expand just as he passed. Naturally, with this happening right in the doorway, the shield ended up lodged right in the frame, causing Jaune's momentum to come to an abrupt halt as he oofed slightly.

"...heh, okay, points for that one being original at least," he waved after Cardin, who blinked, surprised Jaune wasn't pissed off about it. "Definitely less cliche than knocking my books out of my hands!"

Cardin's eye twitched, annoyed that Jaune was laughing it off, and he stormed off as Jaune worked on freeing his shield. He might have protested weakly before, but given his sex life was amazing now, and the fact he had already beaten Cardin, albeit with help from Ruby's magic, he was much more confident now than he was when he first started at Beacon.
