First Signs of Resistance

As the sun started to shine into the apartment Sara couldn't help but bask in the warmth of her relationship. Since taking over the role of the dominant partner Sara was in love with the direction of her life and was excited to use this weekend as an opportunity to further cement her status as the alpha.

Today Sara had planned on taking Mark shopping with her to the Loop to buy a few more outfits for work. But after getting ready to go she found Mark sitting on the couch in the living room. "Sweetie, I said I wanted to go downtown today to pick up a few more outfits. Go get ready. I want to be the crowds" Sara said slightly annoyed.

Mark had planned on using Saturday for some good old fashion relaxation and responded rather sharply with "I think I'm gonna have to pass today. I'm really tired and I'm thinking about just staying in." This was not the response Sara was hoping for or expected. "But I want you to come with me. Plus we can do something afterwards." Without taking his eyes off of the tv Mark said "nah. We can do something tomorrow. I'm just really not up for it today." Beyond annoyed Sara started to make her way out the door before turning and saying "well if you are going to stay here all day at least clean up the kitchen, put the dishes away and switch the laundry."

As Sara struggled up the apartment steps with all of her bags she was angry that Mark wasn't there to carry them for her but was optimistic that the house would be to her liking. When she opened the door she felt her anger turn into rage as there was Mark lying on the couch in the same clothes as when she left. A pizza box on the floor next to him, dishes still in the sink and probably the same clothes in the wash. Not even bothering to pause his game of Madden, Mark said "hey hun, hope you had a good day. Could you get me another beer?"

"I can't believe you have the audacity to ask me for ****." Sara said back to him with her voice doing little to hide her anger. "I was really looking forward to spending time with you today but I knew that you were stressed from work so I didn't push it. But could you have at least got one thing done around the house that I asked?"

Realizing that he fucked up Mark sheepishly said "I'm sorr" but before he could finish Sara cut him off and said "forget it. Simply put you ignored me today. I was hoping after shopping we could have gotten drinks and made fooled around when we got back but you ignored me. I'm going to bed." And with that Mark was left on the couch alone with his thoughts on what he could do tomorrow to apologize.
