First Round

Thank you all for waiting, this story has had a much bigger turn-out than I ever could have expected. When I first posted it, I wasn't sure at all if people would be interesting in another tournament. It's always a bit nerve-wracking to throw something out to the wind when you're not sure if you'll get a return on it.

But we need worry no more! The interest was immediate and intense, and we are now ready to launch the first round! Before we do that however, I would like to give a word to our sponsor Raid: Shadow Legen- I mean Elly's Library!

Elly's Library is a discord server dedicated to ENF in writing and art. (Mostly writing.) It was part of the inspiration for bringing this tournament back and is also just a generally cool place to hang out. I've had a ton of fun there since I joined, and I wanted to shout them out because this tournament probably wouldn't have happened without them.

Now, without further delay, onto the tournament! We have twelve participants including the example character, Andrea Stone (She is being included to bring us up to a nice, round number.) That means the first round will consist of six matches. The rules for the matches are as follows:

• Each writer will write a story based on their opponent's champion.
• They can use any details included in the character profile of that character, but do not have to.
• The minimum size for an entry is 1 chapter, the maximum is 3 chapters.
• There is no minimum or maximum word count.
• This round will consist of 2 weeks (14 days from today.) At the end of that time, the round will be closed and the stories will be judged based on the amount of likes they gathered.
• The winning authors will move to the next round. Those who lost can continue to participate among themselves in a defeated bracket if they are willing.
