First Mission To Plumeria (Re-Upload)

(Apparently, when I tried to upload this chapter with a picture it caused another error and I can't take it down.)

Adora and Glimmer got dressed and bumped into Bow on their way to the meeting. Neither of them brought up what happened in Glimmer's bedroom. Adora was looking forward to meeting the other princesses. She wanted to know why they've been so reclusive as of late and what else the Horde got wrong about princesses. Adora wouldn't get to learn much because the war room was practically empty. Over a dozen chairs surrounded the round table at the center of the room and only two butts were in any of the seats, that being Netossa and Spinnerella.

The former had pale blue hair and dark skin with a puffy white shawl, a steel chest plate, blue legging, and boots. Her slim athletic build starkly contrasted with her partner's, whose hips were squished into the seat. The latter had light pink skin and purple hair tied back into a pony tail. She was by far the largest person in the room but not a match for She-ra. Her entire body was stuffed into a purple jumpsuit underneath a magenta leotard. Leaving little to the imagination when it came to her buxom bust or ample ass. Her cheeks were resting on each of the chair arms and her protruding paunch pressed into the table. Bow quietly mentioned that there roles in the Rebellion were a mystery to him but Adora was just glad to know that there was someone other than Glimmer that was chubbier than her. At least, for the time being.

Adora noticed them look her way and took a seat before they noticed her staring. Everyone gasped as soon as she sat down, befuddling her further.

"That is not your chair," Angella coldly informed Adora.

"Sorry! First day." Glimmer apologized. She pulled the newcomer out of the seat and ushered her to another chair. "Won't happen again!"

"What did I do?" Adora whispered.

"You sat in my dad's chair."

Sitting in a dead man's chair explained a lot and gave Adora more reason to worry. She listened intensely as the meeting began and Angella discussed a distress signal that was sent by Princess Perfuma. Apparently, the Horde had attacked her kingdom of Plumeria and cut off their trade routes. Glimmer suggested taking the fight to the Horde but Angella quickly shot it down. Insisting that their focus should be on providing humanitarian aid. Adora saw an opportunity to back up her friend and prove herself to the Queen. She stood up and said, "You should send me, Glimmer, and Bow to lead the relief mission. I'll make sure everyone gets there safely and protect Bow and Glimmer if the Horde attacks."

Adora wasn't used to suggestions ideas to figures of authority or being judged so intensely by Angella. "Very well. You will deliver food and supplies to Plumeria and She-ra will be your security escort. Under no circumstances will you engage the Horde. You leave at dawn.

"Oh! You want... She-ra?"

"Is that a problem?" Angella accused.

"No, no! She-ra can handle it. Your daughter's in good hands," Adora laughed sheepishly. "I mean, so is Bow and the supplies. It's not like one is more important than the other or that we'll be in any danger. That's not to say I-I-I should probably stop talking."

For Adora, the meeting couldn't end fast enough. She wanted to crawl into the nearest hole and die of embarrassment but she had a mission to complete. That afternoon, she turned into her tubby alter-ego and set off with Bow and Glimmer with a cart loaded with as many supplies the Rebellion could provide. Compared to the tanks, carrying the cart was child's play for Adora but that wasn't the cause for her concern.

The journey was long and took most of the day but they made good time and were sure to reach Plumeria within the hour. The entire time, Adora remained as She-ra and let Bow and Glimmer take the lead while she did the heavy lifting. No complications occurred but she was on the edge the entire time and her new friends were starting to suspect something was off.

"Hey, Adora? Is everything alright?" Bow checked.

"Who? Me? I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be fine? I can keep carrying this for hours," Adora insisted.

"I don't doubt that but...um...how do I put this-"

"You're gassier than usual," Glimmer blurted out just as Adora ripped another ferocious fart.

She'd been blasting them since they left Bright Moon. Hence, why she let her friends go ahead. It kept the wildlife at a distance and she thought that it was better to let it loose instead of holding it in but apparently it just made her suspicious. "Sorry, I guess I'm just a little nervous about my first official mission as She-ra. What if they expect some muscular warrior and get disappointed when they see....this?" She grabbed her gut and gave it a shake to emphasize her point. Droplets of sweat rained down when she did so.

"It doesn't matter what you look like," Glimmer promised. "Once they see what you're capable of, they won't care if you're 500 or 50,000 pounds."

Adora wanted to believe her but like a stubborn stain, her self-doubt couldn't be wiped away that easily. Which is why she did her best to vent as much of her gas as she could before they reached their destination. When they reached the outskirts of Plumeria, they entered a radiant forest full of exotic plantlife. The bark was darker than the Whispering Woods and the trees as large as a building. Not all of them looked healthy though. The smaller foliage lay limp and withered on the mighty roots.

"Wow, Mom didn't say anything about all the plants dying," Glimmer noted, bending down to examine a sickly plant.

"I don't think she knows," Bow guessed.

Adora cut one more toot before hopping onto the arching branch holding the wagon over her head. "You don't have to stay as She-ra," Glimmer pointed out.

"But I promised your mom," reminded Adora. "Besides, they're going to see me like this anyway. Might as well just show them right off the bat."

Up ahead was their destination. A woodland village made of huts and hollowed out gourds. The villagers dressed in loose robes, some of which went topless and were adorned with flowers. "Hey guys, what's that?" Bow pointed to a column of smoke rising far from the village past a thicket of thorns.

"Must be coming from the Horde camp", Adora mused. The urge to investigate and strike another blow to the Horde burned inside her. But then came the welcoming committee.

"You're here!" exclaimed the leader of the group. She was a young, lean woman with tan skin, a and long sandy blonde hair laced with blossoms. She wore a peach pink sundress with a green shawl that hung loosely from her arms and pink sandals. She seemed to glide towards the trio with the grace of a breeze running over a field.

"Princess Perfuma, I'm Commander Glimmer of-" Glimmer was cut off when she extended her hand and Perfuma gifted her with a bouquet she summoned from out of thin air. Bow was next and received a wreath of posies that appeared on his head. Then, Perfuma cast her gaze on Adora.
