Ted was the guy that loved to grind on his games. He would commonly spend hours each night maxing out a certain skill just to get a tiny leg up on a different player. While Ted needed to get some XP he wanted to figure the exact statistics for stats. Well, truly it wasn't hard at all he just had to double click on the stat he wanted to figure out. While endurance gave a +5 to his health and intelligence giving +2 to mana. The regen was as such +1 an hour per strength for HP regen, and +0.5 mana an hour per wisdom. While libido was self-explanatory and the reminder he was given from the goddess he checked what agility would do for him.

Agility: Agility is the champion's skill in the speed in which one can move including, sprinting, reaction time, and reflexes

With knowing what all the stats do Ted wondered what the stats we're for the average person. But that brought another question we're there other people like Ted with magic? Were they going to try to hurt him? Seeing as though his first quest was to stay alive Ted didn't feel too good. But then he saw he could tap on the Ring of the Mundane

Ring of the Mundane: This ring completely masks your presence of magical aptitude or inhuman power to anyone within the abyss

Well, that confirmed it, however, the abyss was something he had no clue what it was. With that, Ted noticed he actually felt pretty tired from too many energy drinks and sitting down he was tired almost all the time. He was lying down in bed when something like a shift happened all around him at once and everything was deathly quiet.

”That's new” Ted jumped out of bed and walked out of his room except, in the middle of the living room there was a large looking bug of some sort.

With its small mouth it was eating through the coffee table Ted jumped up and crushed it beneath his feet.

Ted did a little fist pump this was just like a game maybe it dropped some loot? With that, he moved his feet away from where the dead beetle guts should have been but however, there was instead a 5$ bill and a piece of the dead bugs shell. Seeing as he had no idea if he was going to have to face something bigger he ran to the garage and there he found another Fika. This time though he couldn't launch a surprise attack and the bug got a scratch-off before he could kill it.

Another piece of the shell from the bug was dropped moving the shell into the inventory with the other loot he had gotten. He looks through the garage and finds his old aluminum bat, he was glad that he played little league. Ted walks out the front to 2 more Fika’s, they both charge at him Ted takes a downward swing at the first one, once he crushes the first bug he moves his foot to crush the other one.

With the bugs dead Ted relaxed a bit and took in his surroundings. It was exactly like his front yard and his street except everything looked a little more worn down. A pothole here some chipped paint there, what was strange however was the dog-sized hole in the fence. It looked to be some kind of entrance since there was a little trail at the hole. Ted took a peak and spotted a Fika however this one was a bit bigger.

Queen

This was probably the boss of the encounter if he could kill the Queen then he could probably go back to his old world. With the Queen being 3 levels higher than Ted he wanted to be careful and get a sneak attack in to hopefully wound it enough to easily finish it off. Unfortunately, he wasn't looking where he was stepping and stepped on a twig. ”Shit”, Ted ran towards the Queen as fast as he could and took a swing at the oversized bug's head.

When Ted read that he immediately started taking swings as fast as he could.

He picked up 50 bucks from the Queen and a piece of bug meat. With Ted's new level and stat points, the world shifted again and he was back in his bed.

When he stood back up Ted was spammed with a bunch of pop-ups.

With all the pop-ups out of his face, Ted was super excited he wanted to try out his magic now so he opened the window in his room and aimed his hand out the window. He just thought about casting it and put 5 mana in the spell. It was stuck to his hand until he pushed his hand forward. It flew out of his hand and buried itself into the grass with a bit of dirt and grass kicked up.

”What the fuck” the boon of Gaia explained to Ted that someone mundane noticed something magical and to punish him he got the boon of Gaia. Seeing as that it had multiple levels he didn't want to find out if it might get higher so he closed his window and pulled the drapes over.
