First Job in Midgar

It had been a few months since that horrible tragedy at Nibelheim but Tifa had somehow made a full recovery despite almost being killed by Sephiroth. The scar was the proof that she was very much alive and it was her job to keep living for all those that tragically lost their life that night. Starting over in a brand new city like Midgar was no easy task and truthfully many people were looking to take advantage of Tifa’s assets. Tifa had been approached by various shady organizations and even ones like the Honeybee Inn but she had been taught to avoid these scams and did odd jobs to help pay the bills. But truthfully with little to no money to her name, she was starting to desperately look for anything that could help pay her rising bills. Her other issue is that most of the good paying jobs were linked to Shinra and she was not particular about working for the company that had basically been the reason her home was destroyed.

A few more weeks had passed and the odds jobs that had been keeping her afloat were few and far between so she was running short on cash. Tifa was firm anbout not working for Shinra so that really only left for her to choose something rather unsavory. She checked her mailbox one last time for any more requests from the locales but instead she came upon three letters with very distinct envelopes. The first letter had the chocobo insignia of Chocobo Bill, who was inquiring if she was interested in helping promote his business. Ironically, a letter from Madame M with her signature M on the envelope was also addressed to her about possible employment at her massage parlor. A third letter from Andrea with his envelope being filled with bumblebees , the honeybee inn owner, was actively trying to recruit her as one of the honeybee bartenders.

Tifa could feel herself beginning to tear up as word must have gotten around from the locals that knew she was looking for a stable job. She was now in the middle of a three-way competition between the three largest business owners in the sector, who were all vying to hire her. Tifa thanked her lucky star that she had a letter from each of them in her possession, but ultimately she had to make a choice for her first real job within Midgar while also making a seriously strong connection in case she ever needed help in the future.
