First Friday of the 2nd Semester

The first Friday of classes was likely to be a complete wash as far as teaching went. Everyone was still getting back into the groove of school, students were still talking about their break and it was a Friday so no one was interested in really focusing.

Leah’s morning went rather typical, lots of chit chat with students about their holidays, telling students the same holiday update again and again, and students showing or talking about gifts they got by flashing her images on their smartphones. When Leah had her planning period she was very grateful. The first day back with students was always full of energy and it was draining her. The second day--more so.
