First Floor

Exiting the Dwarf's abode, you make your way down the stairs that separate the living quarters from the first layer of the dungeon.

The stairs are seemingly carved out of the cave itself, masterfully crafted in a similar manner to the halls that lead to the room you had just left. It beckons the question of whether this is a naturally occurring structure like in a video game of some sort, or the ancient ruins of a civilization, covered by years of sediment building upon it's once glorious grounds. Perhaps the dungeon is similar to a catacomb, used to store the dead. All of this hypothesization really gets your mind wandering, and soon you find yourself stumbling, not expecting the lack of steps.

The actual sight of what is laid out before you is underwhelming. It looks like exactly what you would expect from a regular mineshaft system, several branching paths leading to who knows where. You should have expected something this mundane, considering it is only the first floor of the dungeon.

Before you, there is two obviously bigger paths that draw your attention. Which one will you go through?
