First Date

Shadow felt himself being pulled closer to Rouge, her tongue and his finally intertwining, this felt so good. It was like years of pent up love and lust were all just going away at once. He felt so good at his core, hearing his new girlfriend giggle she grabbed Shadow's hand and moved it towards her breasts. As they inched closer and closer, reluctantly, Shadow pulled his hand away. Rouge looked at him, a visible sadness on her face. Shadow wondered what she was doing wrong as Shadow said "Wait," panted a Shadow who was both breathless from their deep kiss, and fighting every ounce of lust in his body.

Rouge looked at him in sorry saying "What? What happened?" it was clear to Shadow that she was filling her heads with doubts as she asked "Do..." she stuttered nerves overwhelming her "Do you...am I?" Shadow hated to see his confident bat so worried. He held her hand as she started to calm down for a second as she pulled away herself this time "What's the big idea, Buster?" which caused Shadow to smile, there was the bat he feel in love with, "Don't you want to have fun, around the office?", she teased "I can think of many ways you can make me..."

Shadow put her hand up "I want to take you on a date first" which caused Rouge to stop talking "Look, this was hard for me to do, I hate expressing my emotions." which he hoped Shadow would get. "It's not that I don't want to destroy this office by having my way with you in as many ways as I can," which caused Rouge to blush "I just...I want to see if I can even be a good boyfriend, if that makes any sense," which got Rouge to nod a little.

Rouge sighed and said "You, sadly, got a point," she continued saying "What do you have in mind?"

Shadow thought about it for a little bit, saying "You know, you can't go wrong with a classic. How about a nice Dinner date? Nothing to fancy, unless..."

"Nah, no need to go over the top for me," Rouge said starting to calm down. "Besides, It's not like I'm hard to please, anything beats mission rations" which caused her to grimace in disgust as Shadow rolled his eyes, as she caught that "Oh come on! They're nasty and you know it!"

"If you say so," responded the ultimate boyfriend of his newly found master thief girlfriend. "Was thinking about Hogs Wild," Shadow said as Rouge laughed "What?"

Rouge commented "You are definitely knew to this. Hogs Wild is hardly romantic, there's a dinner though in the city of Station Square, Amy raves about it all the time, I'll be honest...haven't really had a reason to go until now." she heavily hinted, as Shadow let out his own little dark chuckle.

"All right, I'll use Chaos Control to take us to Station Square, but you lead us to the diner" he stated as Rouge gave him a smirk.

The day came as Shadow and Rouge got ready for their first date, each of them preparing in their own ways as Shadow puts on some colon as he got his emerald and sped to Rouge's place. He smiled as Rouge though the same as him, dressing casually, this wasn't some formal event it was a nice date at a nice diner. Shadow paused though as he could smell her, and the smell was intoxicating. Rouge sniffed and said "You smell nice."

Shadow could only respond by mirroring saying "So do you" he smirked and lifted up his trademark emerald and said the words he needed to say "Chaos Control!" warping the two to Station Square. Rouge waved for Shadow to follow him as he took in the city that was once ravaged by a destructive flood created by Chaos. As they walked Shadow noticed Amy and Sonic standing near the place. Rouge waved to them as Shadow walked up saying "Date night?" which caused Sonic to lock up as Amy looked back at Rouge and her smile doubled.

Amy said "Wait are you two a thing?! Holy moly!" Amy said taking that in "That's amazing, simply amazing!"

Rouge put her hand up as Shadow couldn't help but smile slightly at Amy's excited nature, it was nice to know that they would at least have support. His white bat said "We just became a couple a few hours ago." which only excited Amy more. "I'll tell you about it later, but for now...do you mind? I'm finally going to try out that diner you recommended." Amy waved as Sonic gave Shadow a thumbs up.

Making their way to a dining table, Rouge paused a bit as she probably felt the same thing as Shadow did, someone else having an overwhelming romance, and it wasn't the hedgehogs outside. The Owner came up and gave them their menus "What can I get you two to drink?"

A simple man Shadow said "Water," as Rouge ordered some lemonade. While he went to get that, Shadow brought up that this place had that air of romance.

Rouge responded by saying "That's to be expected, especially with Amy so close." she said motioning to Sonic and Amy who were on the table to the farthest end "Amy helped the owner's wife find her courage when the Owner was a simple cashier, apparently she's been with them through every step of their romance."

Shadow just gave a hmph of awknowlegement the date began. The date itself not being anything to write home about, it was just Shadow and Rouge letting down their stone cold guard and just enjoying each other's company. They talked about various missions they've been on, the incident with Omega and the magnet, and even how tired it made the two of them for their constant missions."

Eventually mid afternoon turned to the dark of the night as Rouge noticed saying "Wow, I can't believe we've been here so long."

Shadow commented "I can't believe the food was actually really decent, though I like the company more."

Rouge playfully pushed him "You flatterer," Shadow paid for the food and said "Well aren't you going to walk me home?"

Shadow smirked and warped away with Rouge a few blocks away as they walked to the front door. Without a second thought, Rouge planted her lips on Shadow's getting a small pur in her lips. "Okay, Shadow, I've been patient long enough. The date was nice, and if I had any doubts of this working they're dead, but now..." She gave a wink "I'm going to take what I want."

Shadow kissed her back he carried Rouge inside of her home taking her up to the bed.
