“Congratulations, you’ve been placed in the Wolverines Civilization. Welcome.” One of the four professors reads, representing the Wolverine civilization. The student rep then hands you a pamphlet/guide that will give you access to some of the Wolverines secrets.

On the front of the pamphlet, you see the logo and Civ Name. Before you open it though, you are told to leave the room and walk under the picture of the Wolverine shown on the front of the pamphlet. Upon arriving on the logo, you are shocked by an elevator that quickly transports you very quickly into a blank, wide open space highlighted by a massive door. You take this quiet opportunity alone to open the pamphlet knowing nobody is around you and see a flood of words, glad you didn’t open it and try and read it rushed in front of the large group. Particularly with the words “Top Secret” emblazoned on the front cover.

Welcoming Message:

New Wolverines-

You are now a member of the Wolverines, the most mysterious Civilization in Cielisium. We don’t have a Welcoming Message like all the other Civilizations do, just in case you were to lose this or have it stolen… You’ll find one in the Capital Room. For now though, as we are mandated to provide information by the Chairman about your new group, here’s some more details about what you’ll find in the Wolverine Civilization.

The first thing that should be noted when it comes to those chosen to be Wolverines is adaptability. Following that though, is Ferocity, Determination, Intensity and Courage. Assertive, Brave, Protective, Opportunistic and Tough, Wolverines are ones who are fiercely defensive but are also natural hunters and will pursue anything they want and take it. Wolverines are ones who are strong advocates that push for change and new things, feeling it necessary to never become truly comfortable and always looking for something that will push them further and harder, giving them more of a challenge and encouraging adaptability. These people love to explore and navigate new areas including ones that may be dangerous or risky to maneuver or advance into. Those chosen to be Wolverines often like the cold and cold weather activities. Snow is something they enjoy and it’s something that they can channel their energy into enjoying. Those chosen to be Wolverines aren’t necessarily adventurous by nature, and they don’t go out looking for an adventure of sorts, but they can find one while exploring and learning how to navigate their surroundings. Those chosen to be Wolverines are very outspoken, they mean what they say and say what they mean. Wolverines are typically thought of as good secret keepers and out of protection and defense of themselves are very protective of their closest secrets and are something they guard closely. Wolverines are those who have developed thick skin, they are great at handling criticism, using it as motivation, and helping them feel less threatened or harmed by outside influences, allowing them to stay focused on themselves and their goals and visions. Wolverines are risk takers and trend setters, they are the ones who forge new paths for those to follow after them and often create new ideas which makes them very productive people that can accomplish great things.

One area that the Wolverines need to focus on is paying attention to their surroundings and the world around them. If they get too wild and start to go down the wrong path, they can hurt many others and create chaos beyond mischief and being a little naughty for excitement. Working on calmness and not becoming aggressive will be a key learning point towards taming themselves and finding self control. Additionally, those placed in the Wolverines are people who need to learn caution and restraint and identify when to pick and choose battles that are worth fighting. While they have the strength and power to win almost any fight they choose, they should be wary of danger and hurting others as this can cause them to get in trouble.

Additionally to the above more mainstream ideas of the Wolverine, the Wolverine’s prized possession the Ruby Gemstone, offers them protection in battles they take on and fight, as well as helps feed their passions and what they most enjoy doing. The selection of Wolverines is kind of difficult to identify because the Wolverines have a negative connotation associated with them making them the least preferred Civilization to be selected for. However, they are very much a part of creating a balanced environment and those chosen are often the ones capable of the most strength and power.

After appreciating the bluntness of the Wolverine Pamphlet editor, imagining how long some of the other Civs pamphlets could have been to read, you finish up quickly and start heading towards the door ready to compete with some of the other Civs and show the world that you’re ready for the new challenges ahead of you at Cielisium.
