Chapter 139 by SilverSpectre006 SilverSpectre006

Up next...

Finita la comedia

"I don't even, like what do you say after hearing this. I think I need another drink." Viola shrugged, staring at her now empty glass.

"Pace yourself, you'll be having more than the rest of us." Having just finished off his own drink, Robin leaned back rubbing his hands together feeling the warmth of the booze rest inside. Yup yup, not too used to drinking this. Not that **** was foreign to him but, meh. Ancient history, sake was his preference really. Yes it's related to his training, so what?

"Yea... " Stacey dragged her word, glancing at her phone as the screen lit up. "Not to mention we got work tomorrow so there is that as well."

"Crud." She sighed, pushing her glass away with Cindy reaching in to glance at her friend's text.

"Oh dear, seems you're right. Seems Randall proved to be competent after all. How is that for a change of pace?" She smirked, reaching for her things before another ding! returned her focus back to the screen. "Hm?"

"It's social media, unrelated." Stacey swiped her thumb across the screen before lifting her eyes. "Or not. This look suspicious to you?"

"Quite so, extraordinarily I would say."

"What, sharing is caring remember? Lemme see." Viola lifted off her seat slightly, anxious and curious to know what's up. Her neighbors shrugged before coming to a silent agreement, amused at the shift in focus. Wanting to keep them involved, Stacey reached over and shared her screen to the trio ahead of her, silently recording their reactions and enjoying herself. Getting ahead of things like this certainly has its benefits.

"Oh, a hot date? She looks nice."

"Too nice, her name is Brianna. She issssss in layman's terms, a bitch. Bratty, annoying, needy, and absolutely has to be in control of things."

"Sounds a lot like someone else." Lauren grinned.

"Definitely, she and Becca can very well be best friends." Stacey added.

"Maybe keep them away from the sound of things, it's bad enough with one of them around." Viola giggled, "Two of them is too much."

"Alone they are a pain, but together they are unstoppable." Robin chuckled, wincing at the jab to his side from Lauren while they laughed for a second. "Guilty, so more about this Brianna?"

"She's married to Robert, he works in the fifth floor."

"Well, he looks happy." Stacey tapped her finger at who posted the pic. "Oh."

"Exactly, she dresses nice when she is wanting something, a favor, seduction, or sex. As you can see, that's not Robert she's with apparently."

Lauren shifted in her seat, sipping her final sip before setting her glass down. "Well, this is quite the news."

"Somewhat. Idiot is getting dumber with every fuck he gets." Stacey muttered, tossing her phone back in her purse. Getting up from the booth, she stood up as Cindy followed. "He's gunna get caught if he keeps at it."

"So why not stop it?" Viola asked.

"Because, kitty, that's when the show begins." She answered in that childish smirk. Like watching fireworks in the making, knowing at some point they'll go off and burst casting light in the black sky. Cold, but understandable. "I mean, Joey works with Robert in the same floor so, if anything I feel bad for Robert. Poor guy, but he is pretty oblivious so what are you gunna do?"

"Well, it was a wonderful time we had darling. Here." Cindy slipped her friend a twenty with a wink. "A little something to cover our pay."

"I thought I was paying, cuz of the bet?" Wait, why am I turning this down?

"Yes, but it went better than I thought. Consider it a helping tip for our added company." Cindy smiled as Robin and Lauren stood up. "It was a treasure to meet you two, Robin and Lauren. Do keep our kitty safe for us on the trip back home. Seven o'clock shift tomorrow, by the way! Don't be late." She waved before stepping out the door Stacey held for them.

"You guys take it easy on her, I want her back in one piece!" Stacey laughed after finishing that line, waving at them before exiting the door.

And then there were three.

Well, all good things must come to an end.
