Finish the battle and return victorious

You and your comrades stand before a mighty bonfire, it's light cascading off the town's giant protective crystal. Lined up, each of you holds a torch in outstretched hands as a village wiseman reads from an ancient tome while he makes elaborate gestures in ritual. The precious liquid you fought so hard to obtain these last months shines brilliantly in flashes of light before the village's crystal glows with a renewed vigor, assuring the safety of it's inhabitants for another year. Applause and cheers arupt from the crowd.

You are a hero.

The festival carries on into the night, embers floating from the fire giving the setting a very mystical feel. The villagers carry on in celebration, chatting, eating, drinking, and generally being merry. There was still much left of the feast, the smells of a variety of food still wafting through the air. The group of travelling musicians were still still playing their up-beat tune.
